Worst. Service. Ever.
While wintering in Florida, we took our Avalon to David Maus Toyota in Sanford, Fl for it's 60, 000 mile service. The car was returned with greasy foot prints all over the drivers floor mat, which took them an hour to clean when we returned to the dealer. But wait! When we drove home to Indiana a couple days later, we found oil on our garage floor. Our local dealer determined the oil plug was loose, no new gasket had been installed, and we had lost over a quart of oil on the drive home. But this is not the end of the story.
When we took our car to our local dealer for it's next scheduled service, they informed me that the radiator coolant overflow reservoir had been topped off with power steering or transmission fluid! True story! This contamination corroded the radiator seals and hoses, costing me more than $250 in repairs. This error is even dumber than not tightening the oil drain plug!
I wrote certified letters to both David Maus and the service consultant, Ty Ostreicher asking for reimbursement to correct their errors. Neither bothered with a reply. For the record, the Certified Technician shown on the inspection report is one M. Corbin.
I strongly recommend you stay away from David Maus Toyota. They provide absolutely the worst service experience I have ever received, and they will make absolutely no effort to make things right. STAY AWAY!

tire rotation
Since we purchased my wifes new 2009 Toyota Canry LE we have taken it to David Maus for Oil change and tire rotation every 5000 miles. The car now has about 53, 000 miles. The last time it was serviced I decided to mark a tire on the car to see if they were really rotating the tires as requested and paid for. When I reeived the car and returned home I noticed that the tire I marked was still in the same position on the vehicle as it was when I took it in for service. This tells me the tires were never rotated. Since this was about the 10th servic, e each with a tire rotation that was charged for, I wonder how many times we were charged and the service was never performed. They will not get another
opportunity to ripe us off again

business practice
My son picked out a Scion as his high school graduation present. I did not want to use their financing due to a better interest rate through my credit union. It was Friday night at closing time, Jason the salesman and Ferman from finance agreed to hold the Scion until Sunday when I was off from work. The Scion was to be placed in repairs on Saturday to replace a broken light cover. I should have known when they told me to put my check book away that they had other plans for this vehicle. Saturday afternoon Jason called and asked what interest rate I received from the credit union. I told him. One hour later he called me at work and said they sold the Scion to someone else. After all I did not leave a deposit.
After all they will never see my business or anyone I can steer clear from David Maus.

Dishonesty
I ordered A 2009 Venza with custom options. After waiting 2 months, I was informed that the combination of options that I ordered were not available. However, they did have another car with different options. Nice game. They got the order knowing that it could not be fulfilled and then attemped the switch. Nice try.
Then David Maus Toyota would not respond to my requests for refund of $1, 000 deposit. My Credit Card Company took care of that saving me time and aggravation in filing a law suit.
Take this as words of warning in any dealings with David Maus Toyota.
