I have lived in my apartment for 3 years. I purchased a condo and gave my 30 day notice. Two days ago I gave notice and it's the weekend now and they have flags & signs out that they are having an open house, for my unit. My apt manager said it was in my lease that they can do this. I'm so livid and upset that people are going to be coming thru my home for the next 30 days. This is unfair. I have spoken to her several times about it and she seemed to bully me into saying ok. But, I checked tenants rights and the calif. code and it says they need to give 24 hr written notice before entering and it has to be during normal business hours. The lease agreement says, "with the consent of resident" or 24 hour notice. I was manipulated into saying yes. I checked into it and I have rights, I feel violated. I wrote her a letter stating they must in writting give me 24 hr notice before showing my property and it must be during normal business hours. They are mean, nasty and have totally stressed me out. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.
