Mr Selbst came into our Boynton Beach Location on three consecutive days and negotiated a check daily from a company called "The Firm" all three checks were returned Account Closed. Upon researching said checks it was discovered that Mr. Selbst infact was the sole officer listed with the state of Florida for The Firm. Which means he knowing wrote checks from his company to himself off an account that was closed. (Three separate Felonies). All of his phone numbers were disconnected within 3 days and we had no way of contacting him. Fortunatly he had listed his ailing Grandparents in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as references so we were legally allowed under our contract to contact them. After our conversation Mr. Selbts contacted me miraculously on Thursday May 27, 2010 and told me the person who wrote the checks (who obviously he did not know i knew was him) was straightening out the account and he stated he would be in to take care of this matter over the weekend. I informed him I didnt believe a word coming out of his mouth and he had till end of business on Saturday May 29, 2010 or this was going to be turned over to Palm Beach County's Finest... Its Tuesday June 1, 2010.. The phone number he called from last week has been disconnected and no payment was made over the weekend... I am turning this over to Palm Beach County's Check Fraud Detective Bureau TODAY! With any luck at all Mr. David Selbst should go away on a extended vacation for this one!
