alteration rip-off!
I went today for a fitting for a bridesmaid dress. the manager of the alterations dept wanted to charge me TWO times what I paid for my dress for alterations! She was rude and tried to convince me that the dress fit fine-EVEN though the sleeves fall down and it is aprox 2" to big in the waist hips bust and sides! She told me that its the brides' day anyway!!! I will NEVER go there again! AVOID at all costs! go to a real tailor!

Misleading, non informing
I am 34 years old and finally planning my wedding. I've looked forward to this day for sooooo long. I made an appointment in February at David's to try on dresses. My mom, mother-in-law to be and myself arrived for my 10:00 am appointment. We were greeted and my consultant Brittney took over. She had me pick out 3 dresses first. I got all the attire on and knew that the 3rd dress was the one. She was very friendly and nice, but what I've found out is that she nor anyone in that store is very informative. My dress cost was $550. I was then told that if we chose for them to alter it, it would cost another $350. Brittney stated that even if we chose for David's to not alter my dress then we could still bring it back about 3 months prior to my wedding for them to steam clean and re-bead my dress. We had a lady locally alter my dress for around $100. There was still one aspect of the dress that the lady didn't do correctly. We decided to have David's make the last adjustment that was needed along with the other "promised" tasks. I made an appointment, took in my dress only to my horror in finding out that not only will they NOT touch my dress because someone else had altered it, but they will not Clean nor re-bead the dress as promised by my consultant. It does state that they will not touch an altered dress, however it is in a book that they give people who HAVE NOT bought their dress. I did not recieve any such book nor is it posted in their store for anyone to see. I went in, bought a dress, left with a dress, but no book. It's now my responsiblity to have seen a "paragraph" in this book that was never given to me and it took the alteration lady 15 minutes to find it. Not to mention that we were never told this. My mom and I have battled back and forth with corporate for a few days now but I will NEVER reccommend David's.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!
I totally agree with the customer service at Davids Bridal. I got my bridal, flowergirl, and bridesmaid dresses from there, which I would never recommend to anyone. I called davids bridal because the color of the bridesmaid desses did not match with the color of the tuxedo vests. They were suppose to be a beige color and ended up being more gold. Although the color of the dresses were suppose to be a beige color. My mom and sister went to go pick up the dresses up and brought them to me. The color was nothing like what they showed me. Now they will not let me exchange them for another dress. They told me there sales are final and couldnt exchange the dress when it was there fault in the first place!!!

Lady's.. take it for what it's worth
Lady's.. take it for what it's worth. David's Bridal sells cheap wedding dresses. Therefore, the employees probably get paid only minimum wage, at best. You only get what you pay for and if you want a quality product at a quality price, go to a quality bridal store, not david's bridal.

Horrible service!
They were all great helping me pick out the things I would need on my wedding day, helping me match and I found the perfect dress. It was wonderful, I had ladies dressing me, undressing me and I felt like a princess, or barbie. They did a wonderful job. I come back the next day to purchase my things and the women who helped me gathers everything on my chart that I wanted. I checked sizes and whatnot, not knowing I was supposed to inspect everything right there, assuming I would get what I paid for. I spent 1, 000 dollars and my shoes have stains from someones dirty feet! My crown is bent, and my bra at the waist line is stretched out where the bend is. The shoes I had tried on had the plastic protection at the toes, these have been worn to death. What happened to the crown?! I've bent it back to shape... The bra fit me perfectly even when I was taking it off when I tried on my dress, I did not do this. I called and the women argued with me, how was she to know I didn't do these things?! I haven't got my dress yet why would I wear the bra and shoes?! I only wanted to exchange shoes for a pair that haven't toe stains in them, a pair I paid for and rightfully should have received. Shouldn't you get new items or at least the ones only you tried on, or clean ones. the dirty ones should be for people who come in to try everything on. They are careless when it gets to the point of you paying. long as they are getting your money. Hopefully they don't screw up my dress, it will be there in 2 months and they said they will call.

Terrible Customer Service
I had my bridesmaids order their dresses from Davids Bridal because they live all over the country. The first day I went into the store, they mistook my bridesmaid for the bride (I'm guessing because she's prettier) and treated me as I was of no importance. They made us wait for 20 mins (for our appointment), then gave us a few dresses and stuck us in a dressing room. We had to go find someone to assist us after that. I've had to return to that store 3 times after, and EVERY time, the same experience.
My maid of honour called me to let me know that she had spoken to several different people on the phone and they couldn't order her dress!!! I called and spoke with the manager, and she was JUST as RUDE as all of the other employees. She could't be bothered to go get my file and check a size!!!
Someone told me to stay away from Davids Bridal. I should have listened!!!

Rude and terrible service!
I ordered over the phone and went to pick up my dress, etc... They could not find anything. Everything was scattered all over the store... It took an hour for them to find my dress, wrap etc... And could only find one shoe!!! Then the lady was extremely rude. I asked her if i could get free/discounted alterations. She just looked at me, with disgust... Oh, No!! We couldn't possibly do that!! Terrible, terrible service!! I am going to tell everyone i know to stay away from there! Thats for sure!!!

Poor customer service
DO NOT USE DAVID'S BRIDAL! My dress was made two sizes too small... rhinestones and beading fall off... loose threads... stains on the "brand new" dress. Now mind you this is a $1,000 DESIGNER gown. Manager did not want to help me and could care less about fixing the situation. Wedding invitations were done in the wrong font color, and no one will help us. They said it is our fault and the only thing they can do is give us 20% off for when we RE-ORDER the $300 invitations that THEY MESSED UP! I have talked to at least 10 people at the corporate office... they are all despicably rude! We ended up having to dispute the charge on our credit card to get our money back! We also reported them to the Better Business Bureau... and according to the BBB the corporate address has an "unsatisfactory record" and is therefore considered an unsatisfactory business. Please keep this in mind when thinking about going to David's Bridal. Worst wedding experience ever!!!

Wrong size!
My entire wedding day could have been ruined! I went to Davids Bridal last May to pick out my dress. I actually had a pretty good time doing so. I found the perfect dress, and best of all, it FIT perfect too! I was so excited that i did not need to spend extra money on alterations. The only problem with the dress is that there was a black string under the fabric , but my consultant said that she was taking the dress back to the seamstress to remove it. She came out in about 5 mins, and said it was removed. The dress was bagged up and i sent it home with my maid of honor. (I live with my finance, so i didn't want it at my house.) It is now Jan 2008. I was visiting my maid of honor, and she asked if i wanted to see my dress. I said sure, so then i tried it on. I COULDN'T EVEN GET IT ZIPPED!!! There was NO way i gained that much weight in 8 months! I looked at the ticket, thinking... they couldn't have! But i was devastated to see that i had a completely different size then i tried on! What if it was my wedding day!!! Ok, so mistakes happen, i realize that, but instead of getting that little piece of string out of the dress, they just gave me a different dress, WITHOUT TELLING ME!!! AND GRABBED THE WRONG SIZE! We called immediately, but they said the manager was to busy for us, took our #, and said they would call the next day. But guess what? NO CALL. So the day after that i put in a call, and finally got through. The lady (who stated that she traveled for corporate) made me feel like it was my fault by saying, "well maam, the size in on your receipt". WHY WOULD I THINK TO LOOK AT THE SIZE ON THE RECEIPT WHEN I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING THE DRESS I HAD ON MY BODY!!! Not to mention, this store is a hike for me (2hrs). With gas costing 3.15 a gallon, it is gonna cost me another $30-$40 just to go pick it up. This is ridiculous. They should have offered to compensate for that. I wanted to complain to corporate, but they said there isn't a phone #. OK.What happened to customer service? They made a mistake, but pretty much blamed me for it. If i hadn't already had my brides maid gowns made to match, i would have demanded a refund. I have already told everyone i know about the lack of service i got from these people. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO MY WORST ENEMY.

Poor customer service in Beaverton Oregon
David's Bridal was all happy to sell their dress to us. It was all downhill from that point on after spending close to 1000.oo dollars at their store. We were to receive a phone call when dress arrived. Since it was a designer dress, we anticipated a somewhat wait. After not hearing from them for some time, we called and they told us it had been in for at least a month and a half. They checked their records and told us they called us "one time", and we had not answered. Wow. We have a business, and our line is linked to our home as well. We are by our phones 98 percent of the time. Daughter called to make alterations appointment. Girl on phone laughed and giggled whole time, and then stated no appointments were available for time before wedding. We are truly disappointed in their non caring, non professional attitudes, and we will be spreading the word so other people do not have to go through this horrible and dissattisfying experience. They are highly overrated.
