"Ron" of Davis and Son Painting and Powerwashing offers painting services without registration as a home improvement contractor. In August of 2009 Ron Davis submitted an estimate for a painting job at our residence. The project began without a contract and without proof of insurance. "Ron" accepted a down payment of 50% of the agreed upon sum. The work performed was unacceptable and required repair. When the issues were brought to his attention he claimed he would inspect the work and never did. We requested proof of insurance and he never provided it. After a few more days of unacceptable work we terminated his services and requested he remove his equipment. "Ron" became belligerent on the phone and when he arrived to collect his equipment continued to be belligerent and demand more payment. The police were called. The police collected his contact information but the information he provided do not correspond. The phone number is listed under an elderly couple with a different last name. The address is listed under another contracting firm and phone number. This person is running an illegitimate business and damaging property.
