Design Not Right
June 16, 2011
Wrong Design
I went to Davison to create a clothing design for my disabled son and all chlidren and adults with disabilities. They have almost 10K of my money to produce the product that I sent to them, I have emails and pictures of what they produced and it is no where close and they have been aware for sometime how I feel about the design. I was told certain things would happen and they did not. I sent in a certified letter to get Mr. davison to call me back or someone who could see what I am talking about with the letter I sent and all the copies from the previous conversations and pictures. almost a week after getting the letter still no response. I ask for a refund, I know it cost them something, however I went and paid to have it done locally with no hassles and the design is what I sent to them to do, the price was for my design not theirs that is way off base. All I want is someone to pick up the phone and call me! I as many others have worked to hard to scrape the monies together to let this go, and I will not, I will take it as far as needed get anyone involved that needs to be to fix this. 10K for what I have done for less then 500.00?

Scam
Davison have scammed me – offered to take on my product with no expense to me – then it was on – first of a fee for ‘pre-development’ – which I had been assured was underway – then their rep went AWOL. A month later, I got a new, ball breaking rep who knew nothing of my product and advised of upcoming pre-development….yet next call congratulated me for an upcoming sale to an interested buyer.
Received an email saying deal would be null and void in 24 hours if I didn’t take offer. Called them, waited for ‘mail’ which demanded $15000 in 24 hours AND a prototype was to be presented. Called again and was coached on how to get the money. When told them it was not possible – as told from the start, it got nasty. I was bullied – ‘you agreed to this, we have your signature’ – ‘well, there’s nothing further we can do for you.’
Checking agreement, they had not carried out any actions agreed to and what I paid for. Requested refund, told I had agreed there would be no refund. Well, they had agreed that they would help me and were actually putting teams into it.
Further request for refund with deadline resulted in “Call me” emails – that’s it.
From the start I admitted I was flat broke and had to borrow even the first fee – which I now am unable to pay back as my finances are desperate.
They have already had to pay out 26 million for fraud – I don’t have money for court!

Return My Money
Fraud ! Fraud ! I submitted my idea. A man name Steve Gallippi, had called me. he got me all worked-up about my idea being great. I ended up giving them $750.00. And he told me in order to get process started, I would haveto make a sketch of my idea and sign some documents. The next day i decided i didn't want to go through with the idea and, that i would loike my money back for, the simple fact that i did not sign any agreement and no sketch was sent to start any process. I gave me the run around he first said yes" i could get my money, then the next called was he's not sure i could get it back. Then he told me that he was calling back that afternoon with the vp of the company, which i found out that it's 6 of them.To never receiving a call at all. I call 3 of the vp's leaving vouice messages no returned call and, nothing from salesman Stave Gallilppi. I want my $750.000 dollars.

fraud/ Robbery
Davison what a company, there to help you along with your idea. Tell you it's unheard of, so you pay in a good chunk of change. So on the way they tell you one company they are going to present your idea too. Oh wait it's this company and then gonna have to change your idea to better fit the consumer. Now it's another company in which this company has nothing to do with marketing ideas but Davison says they have presented 15 ideas to them. The company has never delt with Davison let alone turned down any ideas. I wonder who the brain was behind that scam. The funny thing is after they get your money, they then send an agreement form stating your pretty much hung. The sad thing is they sent me this form after they took my money 8, 458.00 of it. I thought this form stating your out look on a persons idea, the statistics was to be presented in the beginning. davison is a circus act and anyone who backs davison is a bigger joke.i also have all the proof I need, I've been at this since 2003 and recieved a single paper with my idea on it, thats it.

Davison Process
We have found through other complaint channel web based services that in some cases over 70% of the complaints on a particular website were tracked back to competitors. We understand that we offer the best quality services at the best price points so do everyone a favor and please comply with the rules of business etiquette – compete on quality and price. All of our ads and promotional materials are scrutinized and have to meet legal approval before they are published to the general public.
Finally, allegations that Davison is a scheme is defamatory and legally actionable. They should be taken down. How can individuals make such scurrilous, unfounded accusations when the company provides full disclosures, works only through written contracts and has opened its doors through its Chief Consumer Advocate.
For those that would like to understand our services we hope you find the information below helpful.
Step One: All consumers must acknowledge invention development is high risk. In order to do so, each prospective customer is provided with an Affirmative Disclosure and an American Inventors Protection Act disclosure. All potential clients must acknowledge that they received and read these disclosures before we accept any idea submission from them. Thereby, we ensure that the general public understands that inventing is time-consuming, costly and rarely results in profit. Inventing can be educational, fun and exciting as long as everyone keeps in mind that there are no guarantees that profits are eminent.
Step Two: Pre-development Service Offer: After receipt of an invention idea we could offer to perform preliminary design research services on the project. This would include researching prior patents and other products are for sale or have been for sale that are similar to the one submitted. Any service offer made to a potential client is made in writing. Therefore, consumers are assured of exactly what services they are purchasing and shall receive in a timely manner.
Step Three: Invention Prototype Services Offer: If the inventor does not have a professional quality sample for use, we can perform one or more services, including brainstorming new product designs, designing components, creating prototypes, building working models, virtual reality renderings, video demonstrations of the invention in use and complete product graphics and packaging. Here again, any service offerings are outlined in a written contractual format. Therefore, clients are assured of exactly what services they are purchasing and shall receive in a timely manner.
Step Four: Licensing Representation: Once projects are designed, built and packaged our team presents them to companies licensing consideration. Licensing means that a manufacturer is willing to produce, distribute and sell the new product for a set number of years as you, the owner of the invention is compensated in royalty payments. Of course, any service offering would be on a written contractual basis.
The above is a basic outline of how our team can help create what inventors find to be necessary product development materials. We wish all inventors the best of luck with their invention or idea.

SCAM - RIP OFF - DON'T BE A VICTIM
For anyone who has been taken by Davison since the 2008 lawsuit settlement, please join the davisonisgoingdown group and invite anybody you know who has been victimized by this company. We need to come together so we can start a new class action lawsuit. Please share your story here and stay tuned for more details as I figure out how to move forward.
Here is my story:
I hired Davison who is an inventor promotional firm to help me bring my idea from conception to market. I have paid excess of $9000 in July 2009 and was last contacted by my representative Michael Grando in March 2010. At that time, I was told my actual product sample had been manufactured and was in QA and I would have a provisional patent application within 2 weeks. I never heard back from Grando and began calling leaving voicemails and sending emails. Finally I spoke to the receptionist who advised Grando was on medical leave and Gary Humes was handling my design. I began leaving Humes numerous voicemails and have also left voicemails with the Vice President and still have not received a response regarding my inquiries on my product.
Since my concerns, I have learned Davison had been sued by the FTC for practices that are still being used today in which I am a victim of. For example, I was told they had great contacts with companies, more specifically, Cuisinart with which they would be presenting my design to. I am learning that they do not have solid standing here. When I told them I had another company in mind I was told that they were the experts in this area and had done all of the preliminary research to target this company. I even asked who their contact with Cuisinart was and was told that it was a confidentiality matter and could not be shared with me. I was also told that very few people's ideas were accepted by Davison as they were selective on the applicants received but mine was being accepted for further development.
DON'T TRUST DAVISON THEY WILL GET YOUR MONEY AND NEVER CALL BACK!!!

Davison Chief Consumer Advocate
November 24, 2009
Chief Consumer Advocate here for you.
On November 1, 2009, the executive management staff at Davison created a new position titled Chief Consumer Advocate. The core responsibilities of this position are to ensure that we are truly listening to you, hearing what you are saying, and taking our customer concerns directly to the office of the President. The mission of this position is “100% customer service based on Open, Honest and Accessible Communication.” We want you to know that we are on your side. We also understand that the consumer has a larger voice than ever before and they are not afraid to speak up. Several years ago, we began investigating the negativity about us on the Web and even joined a corporate advocacy program through a website that posts negative blogs. That investigation opened our eyes to the serious issues we face and how we are perceived in the online consumer world. What we uncovered was that only 30% of the nearly 100 complaints were from actual consumers. The majority of the blog postings came from competitors and people who have never submitted an idea to us. Finally, the vast majority of complaints were from inventors who did not want to do anything to help develop their inventions, but expected us to do this work for free. We honored our pledge on that site and worked hard to satisfy all clients who filed a complaint.
This new independent department called “Consumer Advocacy” is set up within the company to address every concern that a client may have with our company. This department, headed by the Chief Consumer Advocate, also includes vice presidents and our in-house attorney. Every issue is investigated, a fair and reasonable solution is determined, and then we respond back to the client in the form of a letter, email, or phone call. The department’s email address is [email protected]
This year’s new initiative is a challenging one as there are many new complaint websites and fewer requirements from complainers to provide accurate contact information that would help us to remedy situations. For this reason we are providing a reward for anyone who can help us separate the factual complaints from the bogus ones. To begin, if you need to communicate a concern to us, please email us at [email protected]; this will ensure that your voice is heard. Next, we are offering a $300 reward for evidence that proves that a bogus complaint was submitted by a competitor or person not affiliated with us. All current and former employees are bound by an ethics and confidentiality agreement so we will pay $200 for evidence that exposes a former employee for slanderous and false statements intended to mislead and misinform customers. Finally, a payment of $100 will be given for contact information that leads us to a false statement(s) made by a former client. We have been in business for 20 years and we have more products on the shelf than any of our competitors. We appreciate everyone who encouraged us to take this stand to protect our name. Lastly, we strongly encourage all former, current and future clients to view our Frequently Asked Questions page on our website so you can get the answers directly from us. Thank you.
