Credit Card Charges
I stayed at Days Inn in Muscle Shoals AL for 2 nights and they charged my card 3 times for that which left me in a situation 2 hours from home with no money and when I asked for the issues to be corrected I was given the run around and the very rude staff at the location proceeded to tell me the manager is not her and she cannot give me the name of either manager and she assumes they will call me "when they get a chance" I will never stay at any hotel owned by Wyndham ever again because of this issue it was a super crappy hotel anyhow and the beds were so disgusting I bought a sheet and blanket to lay on top of the linens they had there just to sleep...NEVER STAY

Company doesn't stand by their word
Manager said I would be comped my room for a night due to my complaining & they still took money out of my checking account for the stay

Poor Service, poorer accommodations
Arrived at hotel and 2 clerks and manager behind counter. Took over 40 minutes to get room assigned even though reserved and prepaid. Facility had suffered fire damage that was not properly repaired. I am a fire investigator/ insurance investigator for State of TN. Smell was overwellming. Rooms 222, 223, 224, 225 all affected that I know of. Was in these rooms. Had to wait over an hour and had to threaten action against hotel if room reservation not honored. Manager unreliable as he kept trying to lie saying there was no fire. Maintenance worker had already told us about the fire. Will never stay in a Days Inn again, and will advise everyone I know not to stay in one.

Cancelation Policy - deceptive practice
I made an online reservation with Days Inn and apparently their policy starts off stating that "there will be no credit or refund for early departures, cancellations, no shows..." I thought no problem; I won't be leaving early or requesting a cancelation once I reach the hotel anyway so I'm good to go. My mind was set on the common practice where you make a reservation and if you need to cancel you may do so as long as you give advance notice.
Approximately 30 days prior to my reservation I needed to cancel and that's when the mess started. There were numerous calls with the corporate office talking to Rachel at 888-613-7891, and with their Supervisor Robin at 605-229-8071 both of whom were completely resistant to a cancelation and refund.
Rachel finally informed me that if anyone can give a refund it would be the General Manager whose name is Deepak Panchal at 209-826-9690, the Days Inn located in Los Banos, CA. I spoke to him about the issue and he got so worked up that he hung up on me. I then called him back and addressed his unprofessional attitude but he never apologized and maintained his ignorant stance. I also called the corporate office to complain about his terrible customer service, but they didn't care much. Finally, I took up his nasty attitude in a complaint to the BBB who is currently investigating.
I encourage all readers to call these individuals and shame them for supporting this draconian and deceptive practice.
Days Inn and their family hotel/motels lost a good client over a one night reservation!

Stay away
I have never had a complaint about a hotel before. This hotel had a rude lady working the front desk. When we arrived at 3:30pm we were told by her well let me see if we have a room ready. I said I hope so it is after 3:00 which is check in time. She said well listen we were busy today and I will see if I can give you a room. I said we have reservations. She said that does not mean we have a room ready for you so just hush and wait. Unreal! Tell me to hush. After a few minutes she said well you are in luck I have one ready. We got to the room and the room was very dirty. 2 towels and no washcloth or soap. We went to the desk to get them. Then the TV did not work right. It was fussy and could not watch it. I called the desk and the same lady said why don't you check the cable connections on it we are too busy. I said I am not a TV tech and please give us another room with a working TV. She said you are lucky you got a room. I said I will check out then. She said wait a guy will check it. About a hour later a man came and he fixed it. We then left to dinner. When returning the hotel there was about 20 motorcycles parked in the underneath of the front enterance. There were about 10 bikers standing outside the door smoking and drinking beer. I was afraid to get out of the car. My husband said lets stick together and go in. Inside the front lobby was a big party of bikers drinking and yelling and talking loud and blocking the way into the lobby area. It was very frightful. We made it to our room and I called to complain at the front desk and was told so what they are guest too and your in your room now so don't worry. We tried sleeping but could not straight through because of all the noise in the hall from the people screaming and yelling like it was a big party out there. I am so upset and talked to the lady in the morning when checking out and was told nothing she could do about it. So this is why I am writing to be compensated for the nightmare at the hotel. Please call my husband or write me back and hope to get this settled.

FILTHY ESTABLISHMENT
THIS WAS THE DIRTIEST MOTEL WE HAVE EVER VISITED. WE STOPPED THE THE COUNTER AND PAID FOR A ROOM AND THEN WENT TO TOUR. WHEN WE RETURNED, WE DISCOVERED A ROOM THAT CLEARLY NEEDED RENOVATION AND CLEANING. THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE CARPET WAS SO DIRTY IT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED FOR MONTHS. I DROPPED SOMETHING ON THE FLOOR AND KNELT DOWN TO FIND OUT WHAT IT WAS ONLY TO FIND AN APPLE CORE, CIGAR WRAPPER, RAZOR BLADE AND NUMEROUS OTHER ITEMS THAT HAD TO BE MOVED TO FIND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. THE DOOR LOCK WAS MISSING A SCREW AND WAS FALLING OFF, THE SINK HAD THE STOPPER MISSING AND LAYING ON THE COUNTER, THE BEDSPREAD HAD A CIGARETTE BURN IN IT. ETC. HAD WE NOT RETURNED BACK TO OUR ROOM AFTER MIDNIGHT, WE WOULD HAVE GONE TO ANOTHER MOTEL. THE OWNER OF THE MODEL GAVE ONE EXCUSE AFTER ANOTHER WHEN I COMPLAINED. I GOT THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WAS HOW HE OPERATED BUSINESS. WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED. WE HAD STAYED IN A DAYS INN A FEW DAYS BEFORE WHICH WAS A 100 PERCENT BETTER. MOTEL OWNERS NEED TO OFFER TRAVELERS A CLEAN ROOM AND COMFORTABLE BEDS. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH DAYS INN'S WEB SITE ABOUT FOUR DAYS AGO AND HAVEN'T EVEN RECEIVED THE COURTESY OF A REPLY.

Bad Accommodations
Days Inn accepted reservations at full price for rooms that were being renovated and had no heat during the winter. The temperature was 25 degrees at night. In asking for another room which we had been promised we were told all the rooms were full. The tub did not have proper drainage so you stood in dirty bath water while taking a shower. My complaints went unheard and the hotel manager to date has not responded to my e-mails or requests. Laughingly I was offered a 50% discount during my NEXT stay which obviously will never happen. This hotel chain does not care about its consumer.

Bounces Payroll Checks Rude to Employees
The Owner/Operator Joe is from another country and actually adresses the female employee's as "Girl" Will not use their names. He yells about everything. The Other Owner Operator is never there and doesn't even care about this hotel. There is a second one up north on Division they own that is in the same boat. The hotel is filthy and no amount of housekeeping is going to fix that disgusting bug infested fould smelling hotel. The sheets aren't even clean. To get Linen to Laundry they throw it over the side onto the ground. When they don't want to pay wages they shut rooms down to avoid labor cost. There are constantly drug dealers on the proprty and also Prostituion activity. They sell the rooms for cheap to get people in and the rooms are broken into there's even bars on the windows. The rooms are run down and there isn't even any security. Not to mention when you do work, you dont get paid. They tell you it's late, lost in the mail, it is someone elses fault, and then getting them to fix the bounced check and pay fees is pulling teeth. This Roger avoids phone calls, won't answer texts it is a terrible horrible place. I want to file a class action lawsuit, and report them to the Department Of Labor and Industries for Violating the Fair Workers Act. And Also Workers Rights Law and The State can File a lawsuit at which time they will receive fines and also possible Jail Time.

Bad service
My wife and I stayed at the days inn on Thursday January 13 2011. The room was cold and the heat did not work all that great. The hot water seemed colder then it should be. That was understandable with the outside temp being around 8 degrees but the most disturbing part was when we awoke and found a bug crawling in the bed. When we checked out we showed the bug to the lady working the front desk all she did was tell us to call in a few days to see what it was and if the bug people came and took care of the problem. We stayed in room number 416. I feel that 112 dollars for a night should not include extra guests such as bugs. Because of this issue I will never stay at a days inn again. I will sooner sleep in my BUG FREE vehicle. I don't know how the issue can be resolved but its not fair to me the consumer to have to sleep with bugs and still pay full price.
