Worst hotel experience
Absolutely the worst experience in a hotel! My wife booked us in December for the month of June 2009! We get there and the price was 3 dollars more than what she was told in december, we let that go and didn't complain. We get into our room, it was stinky, the shower barely worked and would not shoot water out of the bath tub spout. The air condition was not cooling the room at all, it remained hot, the refrigerator would not cool anything down, the carpet tunred my one year old's feet completely black, the swimming pool water was very dirty and we did not smell any chlorine. I went to the front desk and spoke with a very nice young lady who switched me to another room. My family and I get in there and the air worked and the refrigerator worked but the shower had the same issuse as mentioned above, the carpet was still turning our feet black and we looked at one of the comforters and there was a huge yellow pee looking stain on it. This was not what I expected from Days Inn and plan to never stay in another one again!

reservation deception,not refundable
Main Days Inn web site deceptively tricked me into making aresevation that could not be cancelled. Repeated calls got no help, they refused to refund $264 charge evn though reservation was 2 weeks away. Called both motel and main office, just got the run around. They are crooks and they robbed me of $264.

First off let me give you the positives because there where some.The cleaning ladies where awesome, very sweet and polite. Also, one female employee was a great employee, she was very accomidating, even though other enployees made promises she had know clue about... And now the negative. When we first arrived your employee, the boy, was on his computer and when we checked in he knew we had a dog. They knew when we reserved the room that we had a DOG, but somewhere in the lack of communication no pet fee had been applied to our rent.Your manager needs to learn some personal skills. There was a leak from air conditioner up stairs. She did not care said it was our problem. Also, the boy in one conversation, when i went to pay rent said that my pet fee would be $25 dollars for a week and then seconds later I asked to double check and he said he didn't know and would have to talk to the manager? This totally blind sided me because i thought the pet fee had already been added in. Plus a new employee who had only been here for 2 days took our reservation without asking about the pet policy and gave us false information. When I confronted them they where almost rude like they really didnt care.So dont want anything or complaing and your stay will be fine.This includes the smoke rolling down the non-smoking hallway. I work on the pipeline so I had planned on being here a while, like 6 months. But because of managment's lack of caring and your employees lying to keep themselves out of trouble, I will be leaving on tuesday when my rent is up. It's to bad because pipliners are like family and I could have recommended others to stay. 6, 000 dollars a head is alot to lose out on. thank you, Elizabeth Garner

reservations
I recently made a reservation at the days inn in Green Bay, WI for the Wisconsin State Bowling Tournament. I reserved two rooms. Later that day I found a hotel closer to lambeau field and the bowling alleys we had to bowl at. I made reservations there, and called days inn and cancelled my reservation. Now, a month later I have a charge on my credit card for $184.00. I called and talked to the manager and he says "well I don't have any records of you cancelling." So now he's sticking me with this charge and I called THE SAME DAY I RESERVED to cancel. What a pathetic hotel chain. Probably the worst i've ever had. I've seen some crappy hotels but as far as takin money, these guys are the best.

Change/Cancellation
Be aware, that if you purchase your Days Inn reservations online, you MAY NOT be able to change or cancel those reservations, and be charged for those reservations, even though you tried to cancel them more than 24 hours in advance.

Poor accomodation, terrible service
My family stayed at the Days Inn November 21-23, 2008. We wanted a getaway for our kids so we booked three rooms anticipating that most of the time at the hotel would be spent in the pool area. When we arrived and the kids rushed to the pool, what a shock as the pool was freezing cold. We went to the front desk and told the lady..she said that she would inform maintenence. When we went to the rooms, they each had serious problems including: smoke detector not working, broken lamps, phone not working, fireplace not working, washroom was filthy. Again we informed the front desk and the only concession they made was to move us from the room with the dirty washroom. The next day we again asked about the pool and asked to speak to the Manager. The manager after making us wait 2 hours, said that she was not informed of our problems and we should have ensured she was informed...HUH??? Isn't her staff supposed to relay the information. Anyway, to make a long story short, the Manager is obviously not qualified to be in customer service and the Hotel condition should be investigated. Also, our rooms were not made up during our stay. Turns out they had a problem with the pool a few days prior to us arriving but for whatever reason did not tell us about it. Even when we complained, the front desk clerk pretended that she was unaware of an issue. I called the Niagara Fire Dept and only then did the hotel check the smoke detectors. We called customer service and they were fully on the side of the hotel...totally disinterested that 3 family's getaway weekend was ruined. Seems like Days Inn will issue a licence to anyone and does not follow-up to ensure a level of service and accomodation. My advice: DO NOT EVER STAY AT DAYS INN - RIVER ROAD...AND ONLY CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU WANT MORE ABUSE AND BAD SERVICE.

Bad Business
I had a reservation 1 month in advance, plans changed went to cancel 1 week before and was told i cannot get a refund because i had "bought" a room there, nothing i could do, when i said this was bad business she told me "Thats how we do business here" could not believe it, in the economic delima people are in here in MI i had to bite $51. I will never use Days Inn again nor would i recommend them to anyone, horrible customer service and swindle you incase of cancellations. Days inn should be ashamed of themselves, thank you for taking $50 away from my kids christmas this year! I wish you the best of luck in your future scams!!!1

stay experience
We ended up at this hotel because it was the only one for miles around that was available during hurrican Ike. (We drove for 9 hours)

Me and my four children (ages 17, 8, 19m & 3m).

We were charged $330 for a two bed room, for 3 nights. I pay this much for a brand new Marriot stay with room service and clean fresh rooms. Then after the hurrican is over we decide that we can leave a day early but do I get a refund? no! because we were one hour (thats right one hour) into the 3rd day!

Ok so the room was horrible smelling, it was musty and dirty smelling. Both my babies got sick from it. There was a huge water spill in the main hallway and noone ever came to clean it up, it just stayed there the whole time.

We stayed in the nonsmoking side of the hotel and there was a sign at the door leading out that said that noone could smoke within several feet of that door. Every time I went out that door there was someone smoking right outside of it.

Then, due to the fact that we had to stay there becasue of the hurricane we were supposed to get our taxes refunded back to us, but for the next 6 weeks all I got was the run around from them. First they were waiting for the government packet then the next time I called noone knew what I was talking about and would call me back, noone ever called me back. Then the next time I called they had changed owners and didnt have a clue then the last time I called they told me that I wouldnt be getting anything because they didnt participate in that government program.

I was very dissapointed to say the least with the whole experience.

The maid service staff couldnt speak an ounce of english so when you asked them to do something in your room they would just stare at you and nod. I suspect that they are getting paid peanuts for their work because they are from mexico.

Noone was friendly or nice at all.

You people have no idea how to run a hotel or how to treat your guests. I should have gotten a refund for the taxes and the extra night I paid for. I will never stay in one of these motels again.

THE LADY WAS RUDE I DID NOT KNOW THE BREAKFST BAR CLOSE AT NINE MY HUSBAND TOLD ME IT WAS AT 10:00I WENT DOWN AND IT WAS ALL PUT AWAY THAT WAS FIND BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE TO BE RUDE AND SMART WHEN SHE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS CLOSE SHE SAID I DON'T KNOW WHO TOLD ME THAT BUT THERE WAS SIGNS EVERY WHERE I DID NOT KNOW THAT SHE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS COFFEE AND SUGAR AND CREAM OUT THERE I TOLD HER THANK SHE STUCK HER NOSE UP AND JUST WALK AWAY I WAS GOING TO STAY TO NIGHTS UNTILL SHE DID THAT SO I LEFT THAT DAY I DON'T THANK I WILL COME BACK THERE KNOW MORE THE LAST TIME THEY WERE NICE ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO WELL THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

price gouging
We called for a room since everything else was booked for that night because we had a doctor's visit to a specialist and we needed to travel because we live in a small town. A 2 year old and a 5 month old in tow, kinda need the room...we called and the person quoted us a rate...twice what everone else was charging. I asked y and i work for CN Rail which i get a corporate rate which offers a good discount...and was told we'll give u $10 off like they're doing us the favor...the reason they PRICE GOUGED which is what this is, is she said the manager told them to jack up the rates when everything else is booked...needless to say, had to sleep in our vehicule with 2 babies for a few hours to make trip back home. Nice to know a franchise this size prides itself on such unethical behavior...
