Fraud- Room selected was not room rece
Booked a King size bed, when we arrived we were told they only had 2 doubles. WTF??? When we asked about a cot that could be put up against our bed and the sides baracaded for our daughter, we were told it would be $10. Very bad service, with the exception of the new guy that started on Aug. 12 at the front desk who checked us in. The weird eyed woman at the buffet will hunt you down if you try to take your (1) waffle back to the room because she thinks you will save it to eat later... This hotel is a joke. It's dirty, in a bad area, they charge you incorrectly only to refund you later, pool really small...most of the people staying here actually "live" here. It's nasty. Go at your own risk.

I found a cheaper rate at travelocity I was going to put my credit card info in when I decided to check the days inn site to see if it would be cheaper well it was not but they had a best rate guaranteed are your first night is free I called they told me to book it then fill out a clam form online I did then I was denied I tryed calling customer service I was the phone for 30 min before someone finally answered only to be transfered again to the best rate guarenteed dept they were no help they stated they seen the lower rate advertised but they could not purchase it. So long story short dont fall for the guarantee like I did save yourself alot of trouble

dirty and filthy
We found the rooms unclean, breakfast area-sticky dirty floors, mold on the shower curtains which caused my allergies to flare up. windows unclean. Other rooms in shambles. No coffee when it came time for breakfast. No orange juice. Little kids allowed to handle items on their own. Blankets looked as if they were never washed. We didn't even use them to cover with. The pillow cases looked as if someone else had used them. Lamp shades raggedy and torn. Just very happy with it and there were 6 of us and we all vow never to use a Days Inn again if thats the way they all are. and if not this particular one certainly has given you a bad reputation Thank you

Molded coffee pot
The night front desk person was very rude first off, well my daughter loves to drink coffee for some reason but I was going to make her a cup in the coffee pot that came in the room as I was going to put in a filter I opened it to find a filter already in place and covered in mold, I then pulled the pot out that was stained with coffee and those stains were also covered with mold. When I proceeded to the front desk the desk clerk just stared at me then took the coffee pot and gave me another one this one just happened to be dirty as well, this Day Inn deserves the worst review in history it is not worth the small price I paid at all.

filth
I found this motel on the website along with pictures showing what they had to offer. Obviously, the pictures were severely outdated. My husband and I took a church group of teenagers for a youth trip to Kings Dominion. We had reserved this motel for our first night stay. We headed to our rooms. Our first incident was a broken security door. We walked through the door and was hit with the strong smell of urine, and stains all over the carpet. With this door also being held open by a trash can, full of trash. This was the non-smoking area also, however, the smell of cigarettes was heavy in the air. The bathroom floor did not look like it had been swept. Hair was in the bathtub. We only had three towels for 4 people and the desk would not give us anymore. There was some kind of gunk on the carpet in the rooms, and going up the tv cable. The furniture was stained with something that looked like blood. There was ants in the room. Some of the lighting did not work. The supposed offered internet was not available in the rooms. There was poison ivy growing up the outside walls of the building. Our group found a sanitary napkin in the parking lot. And a prostitute was sighted living at the property. We could not even get our keys to work for the security door at the other end of the hallway after we had gone through it. So in using the stairs on that side of the building we noticed another trash can overflowing with trash, with the trash tumbling down the steps. This place was just nasty. I have complained to them and have heard nothing back. I turned them into the Better Business Bureau in that area, and of course haven't heard anything. I turned them into the health department in that area. They went to check things out, and found some problems. They, however, could not do anything about the poison ivy, or the prostitute. I do not know why. I was called back and told that the motel was told to fix things. I dare say, to this day, you can go there and find the very same problems, if not more.

Service
I'm staying two nights on business. I checked in, unpacked, and went to meet my clients. Upon my return, I tried to access the wireless internet, but the router it gave me would only allow local access. I called the front desk and was basically told that their computer worked, so mine should or it was a problem with my computer. I work out of town all the time, so I'm familiar with routers. I walked to the front office with my laptop in hand and was able to access the internet using the router the clerk was using, which means it's NOT my computer. I asked her if she would mind unplugging the router closer to my room and she informed me that all the routers were on the same system. She's an older, hunched-over woman (who is currently sleeping while "Reba" is on in front of her) with a poor attitude and even worse work ethic. She informed me when I walked in the lobby that the router had been "rebooted". If it had been, I would certainly not be in the lobby when I could be in the comfort of my own room.

Terrible place
Once again after staying at a Days Inn I have been very disappointed. I was assigned room 146 there was no shower curtain, mold on the bathroom floor, the bathroom light did not work, the room smelled like mildew, and the door to the room looked like it had been broken down. Because of these issues I requested another room which was 122 and this room had mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom, hair in the tub, mold on the floor/ceiling, the shower curtain was moldy, the boxspring and mattresses were stained on the sides as were the walls though our looked like a cup of coffee had been thrown, the sheets were torn, the bathroom looked like a kid did the repairs. To top it off the front desk clerk acted like we were interrupting her and when we left to go to our event she could be heard after getting off the phone from who knows who saying "THAT FUCKING BITCH". I am really appalled at how Days Inn has deteriorated from years past when it was a decent place to stay. This info will be going on other websites so people know what type of place this is and will be warned of the establishment. The outside of the place looked runned down, the light was not lit up for the Days Inn sign, weeds growing all over the place to include between the building it looked like no one has done any upkeep in years. The retaining wall is falling down outside. My suggestion is to either tear this place down and rebuild or gut the place and redo it. How terrible the only reason I stayed was because this was the only decent price in the area. I guess you get what you pay for.

Caught in the Act
The rooms were excellent and clean an average hotel. I was having a wonderful day until I stumbled upon some employee being mistreated. One lady was making derrogatory comments on how slow, overweight and how stupid one of the employees was..I couldnt believe my ears. I left the premises to go to a meeting that I had in town and realized that I had forgotten some papers and some other belongs. I was in a stayover when I left my door was shut when I returned to get my belongings the same woman that was complaining and talking about other workers was in my room. I found her stuffing a twenty dollar bill in her shirt and I then asked her if the girl cleaning my room would recieve it...she nervously stuttered yes...Ill make sure of it. I still couldnt get over why she was in my room there was no cleaning supplies and no cart in front of my room that seemed really sketchy. It made me wonder how many other people would be going in and out of my room? Plus It made me wonder if they do that to all people and guests who stay at theie hotel. I was really upset how unprofessional this woman was. I now regret
t not saying something sooner. I guess the next time I want a hotel Ill have to pay a little more money for privacy and and respect for my rights and my belongings..I talked to the woman at the front desk and they told me that the older woman with the short hair that she was head of housekeeping. I then wondered how many times she was embezzeling money from the company and employees. Well Beware of this Her name is Karen at the Grayling Days Inn. She does not have a very friendly dispostion at all. I wonder how she knew that the 20 dollar bill was even a tip. Its a shame and I will not be returning there ever again. Now I really know what those Do Not Disturb Signs are really about people like her!!! That Head Housekeeper should be FIRED...I just couldnt believe that she had the audacity to do such a thing. This woman is completely unprofessional. Beware anyone who stays here. Take your valuables with you..especailly if you have numerous people coming in and out of your room to think that I was only gone for about 5 minutes to come back to someone taking your tips for the maidservice...totally untrustworthy and I will not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!!!
Sincerely,
Christopher G. Wellington

Bad service
I booked 2 rooms from hotels.com for the 4th of July with checkout on the 5th of July. We arrived about 7:30 p.m. checkin went smooth. I went to my room without doing an inspection of cleaniness (my mistake). My sister went to turn the light on and it didn''t work. We had to move the bed away from the wall to plug in the light. the next morning when i got up i threw back the quilt cover only to discover that there were 3 or 4 large spots of blood stains. (unbelievable).
Next the drapes looked like they had just been taken out of a bag that had been packed for weeks and hung then up.
Then in the hallways of the hotel there was wet white mold growing along the carpet and baseboards that had been removed. Also the carpeting on the hall floors were spotted all over with either rain or urine spots through all of the hotel . Just unbelievable. I called this hotel on 7/6/08 to the front desk (phone rang 30 times) no answer. refunded one room @ $88.53.
