how could this happen?
November 23, 2009
extra hidden charges
I was also scammed! I ordered a trial of Dazzle Smile (charged for the trail, received it, cancelled it, sent it back & did receive a full credit on the full retail amount they later charged me & thought that I was done). Later I received a charge for $24.82 from elitepack. I called my credit card company & they gave me their phone number 866-396-2729. I called & was told that when you order Dazzle Smile you also receive a free trial membership to World Club Fitness (unless you opt out - which I did - guess it doesn't matter). They are very rude! They answer like robots with their "No refunds" "We are protected by..." - why are they protected? What about us? I asked for a supervisor & was told that one will call me back... we'll see.
In the meantime... I called my credit card company back and filed a dispute. My credit card company graciously removed the charges from my account & will go after this company. What I would like to share is some information my credit card company shared with me. Basically the Dazzle Smile offer was a way to get my credit card information, then they charge the credit card with charges from any of their 9 sister companies - however this is all one company! If you have contact with them (note everything & keep cancellation #s, etc) tell them to never charge your account again under any of their companies. Another of their sister companies is how to make money at home with Google. They are in no way associated with Google - Google is trying to get them to stop, but they keep changing their name slightly making it harder to stop them. I definitely urge you to contact your credit card or financial institution & file a dispute and/or if all else fails - change your account information.
Sorry this is so long, but hopefully it will help someone! I like the idea below of sending letters to the Federal Trade Commission & the Attorney General. I refuse to keep quiet & let them walk all over me!

Stay away
Stay away from Dazzlesmile, beauty club & pristine health as they have mislead me in false advertising, they lead me to believe that it was a trial offer of $11.95 and that was it, until I realised that they then billed my account for $87.43, I have had to cancel my bank acount which I have been with for 15 years as these different companies will be charging me $87.43 continuously. They are disgusting people who should not be allowed to get away with this. My only advice is to keep your money and keep your yellow teeth.

Unauthorized charges
Did not see the small print and what i thought to be a trial of 14 days, and maybe order more if required as cost me another $87.62 Or £53.84 in my case plus the free trial.Reading the other complaints about this company i feel it is pointless telephoning them to make a complaint about there procedures and the way they have taken money out of my bank account without my consent is (FRAUD) but i can assure them they wont be getting anymore. This as put me off bying 0nline which i have done for years without any problems, lets hope soon that these people are brought to justice.

continued charges from subsidiary companies
10/07/09 - I signed up for the free trials with Dazzle Smile and Clean Whites
10/10/09 - I saw the outrageous charges on my credit card and called my credit card company to dispute the charges. I also called the companies to cancel my memberships (which I wasn't aware I had signed up for in the first place) and to ask for a refund.
10/10/09 - 11/04/09: For the rest of the month, I kept close watch on my credit card charges and sent back everything I was supposed to (the free trials) in order to get my refunds. Fortunately, I got everything refunded. However, these companies charged odd little amounts which were labeled 'foreign transactions' as well as the $49.95 and $87.62. I ended up losing about $13.00; it could have been worse.
11/17/09 - But NOW, I'm getting charged for some membership to a company ELITEPACK (the name that shows up on my credit card statement). The charge showed up yesterday. I can't believe this isn't over! I can't even find what I supposedly signed up for in the terms and conditions that Dazzle Smile provides!
I'm going to keep updating as things progress ..

Tooth Whitener
I just realized today that I have had almost $300 STOLEN from my credit card by Dazzle Smile. Everything I have seen on this website is the same thing I'm going through. Is there anything that can be done to recover the money? I'm heading to the bank tomorrow to cancel my card.

Charged even after I canceled
I signed up for the $1.99 free trial for two weeks. I read the fine print and realized that if I don't send the product back within the two weeks, I would be charged $89. I tested it out, and just wanted to see what the product was like. Well, I sent it back with 3 days to spare. I even got insurance on my package to know when it arrived. (Just a note, my boyfriend did the same thing, and they gave us different addresses to send the package to. Mine went to Illinois, and his went to Iowa. Weird, right?!) Even though I sent it back and followed all the rules, they still charged my credit card $89, except the name was not dazzle white like the free trial of $1.99. It was under the name Pristine Health. When I called my credit card company, they fought it for me and got my money back. The operator told me that this company has done this to other customers, and he's heard the same story! He said that they bill under another name so you don't think it's the free trial company.
To the people that say, "You just have to read the fine print and you'll be fine.", you are wrong. I did everything perfectly and was still charged. I read the rules, I sent it back, I even called after I canceled it to make sure it was canceled. The rude operator told me it was. So, don't listen to those people. Listen to the majority on this; THEY WILL CHARGE YOU, even if you return the product on time.
When I had an online chat, the lady was rude. I asked for the number for the person that sold Dazzle Smile to me, and she said that they don't have that number. They only had the cancellation number. When I asked how that is possible that they don't have the number of the company they say they are, she said, "I cannot help you at this time." HA! I even had the name and extension number of the man who sold me the product.
Just don't do this! Even if you follow all the rules and try the free trial, you will have to pay the monthly fee of $89. If you do buy this product, it better be worth the 90 bucks! Use baking soda toothpaste and buy tooth whitening products in the stores. At least you know they won't overcharge you!
