misleading advertising
The company used an ad on Yahoo with a Chattanooga connection (Chattanooga Mom discovers Teeth-whitening secret for less than $4). First of all, there was no Chattanooga mom in the ad once you clicked on. Secondly, the ad referred to he outrageous (my word) cost of dental whitening, then offered a free trial where the customer paid only $2.97 for service and handling.
I didn't read the fine print, which was masked on my computer, which states that your account will be charged $79 per month for the product. When I tried to cancel, after reading the fine print, I was told on three separate occasions that the customer service rep could not find my name or phone number so the company must not have accepted my on-line application. On a fourth call, I was told the charge (from a credit card) would probably not go through. Well, the charge did.
On the fifth call, talked with a rep named Richard who informed me that I needed to mail back the product (which I never opened by the way) and if I managed to get it back to them by Nov. 18 I wouldn't be charged the "$87". He further informed me it would take "5-10 business days" for them to process my claim. If I mailed the product back today and it got to them by Monday, Nov. 9, and it took 10 business days (which I'm betting it will), they'll charge my account $87. He further stated I would be refunded that money, but "it will take a while before it is processed."
Also, in calling their customer service office, I had to stay on the line a minimum of seven minutes before anyone answered.
I believe the programed is flawed and probably intentionally so. It's a good way to test somebody's patience and take advantage of them if they don't read the small print, which was also not on the same page as the testimonies about the product, nor the application that required my address and Visa #, et cetera.
The whole thing is incredibly misleading. I would suggest when one sees the name, avoid the same. It is a finely designed scam.

Scam
November 6th 2009
I was scammed by Dazlesmilepro and have had to cancel my credit card. I initially complained to the genuine Dazzlesmile website thinking they were the same outfit.
I have just received an email from them saying that they are going to shut Dazzlesmilepro down and need our help. Send an email to [email protected] Or [email protected] and ask for the Sample Legal Form.
This is what they said
“In order to convince the FTC and courts of the deceptive practices that Dazzle Smile Pro was using to get people to sign up for a “free trial”, we are asking as many customers as possible to write up their stories. I have attached a sample declaration, which is the format used by courts. Please write up, in your words and with as much detail as you can, including names and dates whenever possible, what you experienced when you purchased Dazzle Smile Pro
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me anytime. My direct line is (801) 649-3805. The sooner we get these declarations back, the sooner we can get this situation resolved. Please respond by e-mail for now and if we need an original signature for the lawsuit, we will send you a prepaid envelope so that you are not incurring any additional expenses.”
We now have a chance to get back at these criminals. Tell everyone you know on every Complaints Forum.

Fraud
DazzleSmile is a complete rip off. I was conned into a "free trial" for teeth whitening products only to realsie to my cost that money has been taken from my bank without my pre authorisation.
I have no idea how to cancel my membership. I am now going to the authorities with my complaint.
The bank will not do anything to assist in my efforts to refund my monies.

total scam
This company is a total scam. Ordered a trial sample for 2.95 and before it even arrived I was charged $87.62. I called the company and was told that it "clearly stated this charge" which it did not. There was no possible way to return it as it came with no invoice or return address. If you have ordered such a product...call and cancel before you even get the "free trial size".

Unauthorized charging of my debit card
They charged my checking account $80.00 when I did not authorize the charge. Then when I went to call the phone number to cancel
my card, they put me on hold for 10 minutes! AND I'm still on hold-they're not going to answer. I want my money back for this little, stupid gel pen they charged me $80.00 for!!

UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
I authorized a trial offer and was charged $1.95 for this product, and since then, have been charged $79.00 twice. My name was also handed over to other bogus sites who are sending me charges for products not received. They are from products referred to as Ultifreshwell, Betterdtox and Pristinehlth. They have charged me with no products being delivered. I have had to cancel my credit card and get a new one. This is a total scam and should immediately be investigated. Its disgusting!!

Scam
I've had nothing but trouble with this company. I saw the offer online and began to fill out the order form when I noticed the tiny writing at the top about being subscribed to some club that would cost me $87.62. I decided not to continue and didn't order. Surprisingly a few days later I got a phone call from one of their representatives who (for over an hour) convinced me that if I was unsatisfied by the product all I had to do was cancel and I wouldn't be charged anything other than the postageof $1.95. When I recieved the product it made my gums bleed and burn, so I called to cancel only to find out that I had to return the entire "trial product" as or I would be charged the $87.62. I returned the product as instructed by yet another representative. Today I got my credit card statement an there it was, a charge of $87.62. I called yet again and the woman on the phone told me that I should have put a number on the outside of my return package, when I explained that I was never given any number she insisted it would be in my "return information" which I also never recieved. Then she told me it should be in the e-mail they sent me.. which I also never recieved. Her answer to this entire scam was that "If you did send it back, then when they process your package you will be refunded your money. This should only take a couple of days." When I explained it had been over two weeks already her next excuse was "Well they have a really high workload, so I don't know when they will be able to get to your package." I'm guessing I will never see my money again, and obviously a lot of other people are sending their products back as well, hence the "high workload." Do not fall for this scam.
