Elise Favin sold my family a sick cat. We received Silverbelle (a Christmas gift from Santa for my then 8-year old daughter). Upon her arrival, Silverbelle had runny eyes and was sneezing. She was small for her age, but we assumed she was probably the "runt" of teh litter. We were told by Elise that she was bathed before her arrival (She was sent via courier for an additional charge) and that she some soap must have gotten in her eye/eyes. When we saw Silverbelle, we immedialy fell in love but did notice that the cat was not bathed (she smelled - not a clean smell). Elise was kind enough to enclosed some antibiotic (just in case) "in case" it was a URI.
Long story short, Silverbelle was part of our family for six weeks. During those six weeks, she saw a vet at least six times. The final time was because her back legs started giving out. She could not walk properly. We were referred by our vet to a Neurologist in Red Bank, NJ who diagnosed her with FIP (an incurable and fatal disease - nevermind contagious to my OTHER TWO CATS). Unfortunately, Silverbelle had stopped eating and was fading away. Under the advise of our vet and unfortunately what we knew was right for her in our hearts, we had to put her down. Our daughter was devistated to say the least. My husband called Elise to warn her about her cattery and to tell her about poor Silverbelle. She promised him a "replacement" kitten. After all was said and done with Silverbelle, we spent over $2000.00 between vet bills and buying her from Elise. We tried contacting her several times in hopes of receiving a kitten from her, and we get a full answering machine and no replies to my numerous and often nasty e-mails.
Elise Favin should not be allowed to breed animals. She does not do it for the right reasons. She is a cold and heart less person (I would like to use another descriptive, but I am a lady). Truly, I have never dealt with such a deceptive person. Not only were my husband and I devistated, imagine my daughter who supposedly received this beautiful creature from Santa. That was probably the last Christmas my daughter will believe in Santa, what a nice memory it would have been for her to think back on that experience. Instead, my poor daughter to this day thinks about that kitten and how much she loved her only to have her dying before her eyes.
Not only do I want every penny back from this person. I want the whole world to know NOT TO DO BUSINESS with ELISE FAVIN. She has no morals or standards.
