I recently called DC Plumbing to get a quote for a hot water heater; I was told by a young girl named Amanda that it would be a $79 charge to come and give an estimate. I explained that this was something new to me; I had called and requested said quote from several other companies; all of whom promised to send out a plumber without a fee for an estimate.

Given the complexities involved in privcing a system it is not possible to provide a quote on the phone- especially since the unit and the surrounding plumbing etc. has not been seen.

Good to know for future that a company shouyld not charge for a quote. For service and repair- of course.

Not a pleasant experience.
