I have been repaying my defaulted loan and last month my bank account was the victim of fraud...it was emptied out and the bank closed it and reopened another account my automatic payment was scheduled to go through at the same time so it didnt happen...the MIKE SILVERMAN decides to call the people on my "reference list" - a list I was REQUIRED to give them to set up arrangements...he proceeded to tell the people that they need to tell me to call him or he was going to garnish my wages and that i have 2 days to make a payment. Not only is this unethical but I do think maybe illegal. I am not in default due to neglect on my part but the product of a divorce where my ex-husband was the main provider. I think this company is RUDE and uses unethical and illegal manners to collect some money. I asked him well can i send it to you by western union quick collect and he stated no because it wont post for a day and he wont do a debit out of my new account...i had to pay with a credit or debit card...I explained to him that my new card is a temporary card and does not have the VISA logo on it so I can't use it to pay over the phone. I am trying to pay but I think his commission is based on how much he gets and am thinking he is prob at a cut off time to receive his bonus. What is the difference if you take a check...a western union quick collect pmt...or a credit card!
