I was supposed to board a Deccan Airlines flight from Delhi to Mumbai on Nov. 7th, however, due to some traffic problems, I only reached the airport about 40 minutes prior to the take off. When I reached the airlines counter at the airport, the people there were unbelievably rude and refused me entry in a threatening manner. Most of them acted like illiterate people and simply didn't belong there. I explained to them about the emergency and pleaded with them to let me board the plane, but they simply told me to beat it.
I was left awe struck and simply couldn't believe how pathetic Deccan People can be. Many of my friends had advised me in the past to simply avoid Deccan Airlines, but I went against their advice and paid the price.
I guess India still has a long long way to go in customer service standards!
