Advocate for honest marketing May 16, 2011
Faulty Pricing & Marketing
on 4/15/11 was at Garden Ridge & was buying some Easter florals from the 75% off aisle. When I checked out, I was told they were not on sale and in the wrong place. The cashier verified it with another cashier that it was in the wrong location. I asked for a manager, he too, said they were in the wrong location and that they were not discounted. I argued the point of being dishonest in marketing items and then not honoring a discount. No use. I was given a snippet of paper w/ the customer care line email. I wrote a detailed analysis of what had happened to me and how it should be handled. I received 3 very lame responses that state they do have fair, honest marketing practices. I am filing a Better Business Bureau complaint in my state and in the state where G. R. is headquartered. I encourage all to do the same. Bottom Line: this company does not value the customer nor do they remotely care about keeping customers. Tell your friends not to fall for this shady deception. It is morally wrong to conduct business in this fashion.
