In May of 2008 I ordered a Kichler chandelier that was $168.00. I received an email confirmation stating that they received my payment; I called back two weeks later because I never got information on when my chandelier would arrive. The representative kept telling me that she had my information and was going to check on my order. Well, I never got my chandelier. Seversl months later aroung August or September 2008 the phone number to the company stopped working. I did a reverse lookup for the company in the online yelloe pages; of course, there was no physical address listerd, and the phone number listed worked for about a month, then went out of service as well. I still have all of my documentation from placing the order and the info I found trying to find the business' owner because I would like to sue before my statute of limitation runs out.

Well, what do I find this year? I typed in the above website address to see if the company was still advertising light fixtures they clearly do not carry, and now, the company has changed its name to Artistic Illuminations. It also has a new web address: ARTISTIC ILLUMINATIONS.COM. I actually got in touch with someone, who turns out to be the same woman I spoke to last year about my order with decorating-etc.com! Of course, she gives me the spiel on how the company is owned by someone else and they are not responsible for the prior business' orders, but the shipping policy and refund policy is worded exactly as the other company's. In addtition, the email address to send questions or complaints to is still [email protected]. The representative tells me this is because the new owner bought the rights to use that emil address. My investigation continues, and I strongly suggest that NO ONE buy from that company, no matter what name they choose to use.

I also tried filing complaints with the BBB in regard to this. It was then that several addresses popped up for the company, all in the New Jersey area. I kept getting my complaints returned to me because the addresses they sent the letters to did not get received. Either this person who is stealing people's money is returning the letters, or he/she is simply providing false addresses.
