On Dec. 13 I ordered a pair of Deerstag shoes for my husband for Christmas which ended up being too tight even though I ordered the same size that he has always worn. On Jan. 3 I called to arrange a return. After 3 calls & 2 different reps, I was told that Deerstags had launched a new website on Dec. 14 (one day after my order) and that they didn't have a record of my order. After going back & forth, they "found" my order and gave me a return authorization # to send them back. BUT even though the website clearly states FREE RETURNS, I would have to pay for return shipping because the FREE RETURNS are on orders from the NEW website, not the OLD one. After complaining, the rep said if I would include the shipping amt. in the box with the shoes, they could credit my credit card. After the conversation, I realized that was just not right since the website clearly states FREE RETURNS and my order had been only ONE DAY before the new website launched. I send a lengthy email to the service dept. of Deerstags explaining my situation and asking for a pre-paid return label to return the shoes. AFTER 4 BUSINESS DAYS, I have heard NOTHING from Deerstags. Not a kiss my foot or anything! Unfortunately I have no alternative but to pay to ship the shoes back but I WILL NEVER, EVER PURCHASE DEERSTAGS AGAIN!!
