Adam Levy Area Director
I was a Shift Leader for approximately 13 years at Del Taco in Twentynine Palms Ca. I loved this job, and did quite well there. I was very polite to all customers, never had any complaints. I worked very hard and did my job. Well on Monday May 17th 2010 Adam Levy Area Director for area 44 came down for a visit. He came through the drive thru, placed his order and then came into the store. He did not say a word to any of us. I had 3 new people working, in which I was training and doing my own work. He did is normal audit of the store, and then left. I was telling everyone what a good job we did because he didnt say anything different. or at all for that matter. The next day Tues May 18, my general manager in which who was an awesome manager, proceeded to tell me that Adam will figure out what he is going to do to you by the end of the day. I was kind of shocked because, as I said before I thought we did a great job. So my shift ended at 4 pm and I went home knowing nothing. I was then text messaged telling me that Adam Levy said I was being demoted losing 1.00 in pay. My general manager told me earlier in the day that Adam's visit to the store was horrible and the outside order taker was on his phone, in which, I was unaware of. Adam Levy should not be the AD for Del Taco. He is not in any way material for this job. In the time he has been Area Director for Area 44, he has harrassed employees, called employees retards and incompetent, threatened jobs on a daily basis. I loved my job and my general manager. I was devasted to hear this news and acted on impulse and quit. Del Taco is a great business to work for, as long as Adam Levy is not part of it. Something needs to be done about this. I have been quiet until now because I'am still friends with a few people that work for Del Taco, and the same thing is being done to them. The most disgusting part of this is, is that no one could go to the higher ups about their problems with adam in fear of retaliation.

Little Scam
Two burgers for $3.50 what a deal! What we for got to mention. Small fries $1.50. Small coke $1.50. Total cost $7.05. Ya, we got you on the extras. You can call it pretty, but be careful.

Female white cook coughing on food as she made it
As I ordered my order- the heavy set white female (del taco cook) coughed several time as she prepared my food. She wasn't wearing any gloves as she covered her mouth and coughed- with those hands she continued to prepare my order- then she coughed again towards my food!!! At that point I advised the clerk to cancel my order and return my money- manager at the location gave back my money then she returned to her office without advising the cook/employee about what I observed!!! Gross location for anyone to eat!!!

Big problem
I dinned at Del Toca twice and both the time some mess has not leave me alone on my table. Talk about food, something was nice really nice but other was worst so it is disappointing not great to deal with. For the first time I ordered Macho Bacon and egg burrito and chicken cheddar quesadilla. I like the chicken cheddar quesadilla, it was hot and great but the eggs in burrito disappoint me. They spoiled the taste, I am not sure if they have used really spoiled stuff for making burrito. Next time I went there, ‘Del Carbon', its popular here so I ordered it and it horrid me when I saw long auburn hair in it. Though it was great hair was a big problem for me..!

food preperation
hi, was going to store at least 3 times a week until may, 2009. three cases of food poisoning in a month is plenty for me. have over 15 yrs. experience in food business so is know bad prep and food poisoning. i know manager and area manager by name they think they don't have a problem!!! health dept is a joke they do not even check on employees health !!! let along blood tests!!!jeffrey bailey [email protected] secret shoppers llc, thankyou regards

discriminacion y maltrato
me gustaria que todos se den cuenta del mal trato que llevan los empleados en este lugar los tratan como sino fueran humanos pues el manager de ese lugar no sirve para nada puesto que ay personas que descriminan alos demas por simple hecho de ser latinos a tal grado que los empleados se an visto amenazadas an sido agredidas vervalmente y fisicamente incluso una empleada (Ana Juarez)quemo a otra por el mismo odio racial y uno tras otro de estos actos fueron notificados al manager ( Daniel gutierrez) y el solo dijo limitense a trabajar borron y cuenta nueva mirando ala empleada con sus quemaduras en la mano y jamas hizo por darle atencion medica pues la cocinera siguio trabajando asta cerrar su turno mintras tenia que aguantar las quemaduras el dolor y los ardores. Esto fue notificado a la corporacion en california y al ver el manager que fue avisado a corp <br />
solo hizo una carta documentando que nada estaba pasando en ese lugar y queria obligar ala empleada afectada afirmar sabiendo que todo esto a ocurrido y quiere ocultar las cosas. y seguira pasando mientras este a cargo este manager no permitan que sigan sucediendo estos actos de discriminacion en los empleos todas las personas merecen un trato justo son seres humanos y merecen respeto y tienen derchos solo que no los pueden ejercer por miedo.

NASTY RESTRAUNT
USING OLD LETTUCE AND TOMATOES THAT HAS FELL WERE THEY SLIDE TACO, 2 PEOLPE AT NIGHT HAVE NO HELP. GURLFRIEND OF MANAGER ALWAYS BEHIND COUNTER IN THERE REGULAR CLOTHES. ROOF IS CAVING IN. THE WHOLE STORE IN THE BACK LOOKS LIKE CRAP AND TO THINK PEOPLE ARE EATING THERE. ALL EMPLOYEES WHO ARE WORKING ARE DOING DRUGS. HEARD TALK BOUT IT WHILE EATING THERE JUST LOOK AT ALL OF THEM U COULD TELL SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE DONE

Awful place
My problem is not with the food at Del Taco or even the Service. I do have to say that the Pueblo, CO location is great at making sure service is good and the food is made correctly. My problem is with the Owner and upper manager of the company. The Restaurant Manager Ms. Louann is great. She takes care of her employee's and her employee's are very loyal to her. She knows how to run a very good restaurant. But in the last few weeks the new owner (actually the owners father) and upper management (maybe I should say his flunky management assistant, AMBER) has come in and ruined a very good restaurant. I know for a fact that there are things going on behind the screen that have made working at the restaurant almost impossible. Work schedules are being changed without the employees being called to notify them of the change. Part-time employees are being asked to work out wrong hours (these hours interfering with school work or school functions, (Prom Graduation). NO one is getting the requested days off that they need. The employees are being told that if the call off they will get fired. They have to have a note from the doctor saying what is wrong with them or they will be fired. Everyone is fearful for the jobs, Amber is writing everyone up for no reason's at all. And you ask how I know this, because my son works at Del Taco. He has been there almost a year and half and in that time he has only missed ONE day of work and the only reason he did was because he got hurt at school and had to put in a sling. We had doctors notes and everything to prove what happened. My son is always early to work and willing to stay late. He used to love his job and now he can't believe everything that is going on. He is a full-time student and still working well over 28 hours a week because of what is going one at the restaurant. He does understand that this is not Ms. Luann's fault that it has to do with Amber. What kills me is that AMBER is making the schedule so my son will miss his Sr. Prom. He asked for that weekend off over a month ago and now he has to work that entire weekend. He can't call off because he will loose his job. He wants to go to Prom but also needs his job. How can anyone let the company they own be ran this way. I really hope that things go back to the way they used to be. The restaurant was so much better without AMBER being involved. AMBER GET OUT GO AWAY you have ruined a good restaurant.

Awful place to eat
This evening I went into store 823 in Huntington Beach. I was the only person in line and waited 2 or 4 minutes before a young man who was busy chatting with the girls on the grill decided to help me. He took my order and I paid. While I was waiting a gentleman came up and waited for assistance. After 3 or 4 minutes a lady came out of an office area looked and me and this gentleman then walked away.

The gentleman waited a few more minutes then left in disgust. I asked to speak to the manager after I got my food as I was concerned about the level of service that I received and that the gentleman did not receive. I waited another 5 minutes before the lady that walked by earlier came up to the counter.

I asked her if she was aware that she had a customer walk out because he did not get any service. She looked at me quizzically and shrugged. Apparently she did not speak any english, or at least that was her way of dealing with an upset customer. I asked her in spanish if she spoke english and she said just a little.

When prompted if she was the manager she said yes, however I find it difficult to believe that she was the store manager. I would tend to believe that she was a shift supervisor and not a manager. I asked for the telephone number and name of the manager and she continued to pretend that she did not understand english and the young men and women who were preparing food were laughing.

Is this the way that Del Taco wants to treat its customers? Apparently so as this is not the first time I have had difficulty communicating with their staff.

I manage a staff of associates in a major retail environment and would not tolerate this type of interaction with any of our customers.

They messed up my order
I am sooo pissed, I made a late night trip to del taco. Ordered some food for my family through the drive thru he guy repeated my order back to not once but twice, and once more when he gave me my order. I was in a hurry to get home and since he told me my order three times I figured that I would be safe to take his word boy was I wrong. We were missing 1 quesillda, I large fry, 1 hard taco, and 1 chicken soft taco. But it was to late by the time I got home to drive all the way back over the. So I am pissed at del taco.
