Misleading Return Policy
I purchased a Sony Playstation 3 that was on sale on line. At no point did it say that you can not return it. I tried to save $10 from the price at Future Shop, not a good idea. First I also sent in a change of address. They had to confirm this by calling my office. The guy from India could barely understand started talking to someone on my staff that has a strong accent and the Dell guy starts asking questions about me. He asks if I bought a Play Station and asking to confirm my address. What happened to privacy act? I emailed him to ask why they would do that. No reply. I also got an email to contact them by phone. I call in and speak to another guy in India and he asks me the same questions. I get mad for what happened and he gets off the phone and sends me the game. I didn't want it anymore. When it arrived, I wanted to send it back. I request a return on there web site and no reply. Then I request again. This time I get another Indian guy telling there is no return on electronics and he suggests that I keep it and use it??? This is customer service? I phoned in and tried to talking to an Indian guy to tell him I didn't want it. He trys guiding me to where there is no returns. I follow him and still cannot see where it says that you cannot return. It is obvious that it well hidden somewhere in fine print that you have to dig to find it or live in India where Dell really operates from. When you buy these products, they do not tell you that you cannot return it. They expect you to look for it and know. This is completely false advertising and crooked way of doing buisness. I have dealt with Dell for 12 years and have bought numerous computers off of them, even a group of them for a company that I was running. Early on you would speak to someone from North America that would know the laws, care and understand what the problem is. It now is a Indian staff that Dell has taken jobs away from North America to save money. Then you get a message from the CEO, Mr Dell, how he cares about people in the world and the company conduct code. He is the biggest scammer trying to make people think they care. Bull S*#t!!! Don't buy from Dell. This is my message that I going to make sure that I tell as many people as possible. Dell has to support the people who bought his computers and give jobs to those people. Not people from other countries that do not care about us, in fact probably hate us. DELL SUCKS AND I AM NOT TAKING IT ANYMORE!!!

Nightmare customer service
I purchased an Alienware giftcard from Dell for $250. They sent me a giftcard for $100. After an hour and a half and two days of calling customer service, which is clearly in India, I finally got a new giftcard number. They would not, however send me a new card. This was a birthday present, so I was very disappointed by this. They are also making me call back 24-48hrs later to get the new security pin that actually allows me to go shopping with the card. It was an absolute nightmare, and I wish I'd never even bought the card from Dell!!!

I have 8 Dell First 5 work good now dell are not worst one out there
Just not as good as it was before . it gone cheap service is next to none .
unfouturely it took the path of gateway computers now like them I won't buy them or dell. It sorry to said rigth now if dell give me a dell free I would send it back . not need the headaches. I guess I'll try a Apple mac Computer next . And stop sending
your little coupon deal like your computer mean nothing no value

Failed to deliver order and gave us lame excuse
The order was placed on 22nd April, 2010 and was to be delivered on 2nd May .They failed to do so and the reason they gave was shortage of parts which is very lame. the new updated delivery date was 10th May .the change of delivery address notification was sent on 4th, however till then the laptop had not even been completely assembled. On 11th when inquired the new date given was 17th May and no reason was given for delay . Further the company failed to deliver on 17th and said they would take 3-4 more working days . then the information given was that the laptop has been dispatched and you will receive it on 24th May. On 24th when inquired at Blue Dart courier service they said the laptop has gone back to the company on their request .For further details when contacted Dell they had no reason and no information for the action or any information.
The sales agent assigned to this order was not available on her phone number provided, when contacted customer support, they used to transfer the call and request to talk to the sales agent. Sales Agent- Ambili Unnikrishnan, was not available and all emails were unanswered after 15th May, 2010.

Horrible Customer Service
Alright. I got handed down a very nice Dell computer from my mother, who bought it in 2003. It was working PERFECT. No problems at all. Until it got a virus. A nasty, nasty virus that drove me to just do a PC restore. You know, it needed to be cleaned out anyway.
So, I called Dell Customer Support.
Got some man from India that didn't speak English, and if he did I couldn't understand him. Asked to be transferred. I was. This man I could understand, but there was clanging in the background and such. I was a bit peeved by then. Anyway, I simply asked him out you do a PC restore on this computer. Dell Dimension 3000.
He said, "Have you try turn off computer?" and asked that for about twenty minutes until I hung up.
I called my dad, who is VERY computer-savvy, has his own business, but knows nothing about Dells.
So, he called them, did a bit of research, called me back and said, "Ask to speak with Tech-Level-Three"
I learned then that when you call Dell Customer Support, you're directed first to Tech-Level-One, then Tech-Level-Two, who are still Indians that don't speak English, THEN you have to yell and ask to be connected to Tech-Level-Three.
Gave them my number, hung up, and what do you know. A technician from California called me thirty minutes later and answered my question in five minutes.
Dell = good computers.
Tech Support = Bad.

endless faulty equipment
I ordered a refurbished Dell laptop for a customer about 9 months ago. It would not come out of standby when the lid was opened and there were a couple of other issues. I got on the phone with them and spent around 8 hours messing with the one issue and got nowhere. Finally it was arranged that I would send it in to Dell repair. They sent it back in the same condition. I sent it again and they sent this XP Pro computer back with Vista installed on it. I called and they offered an upgrade. It arrived broken, would lock up and the dvd drawer didn't work. They sent out a tech who replaced everything, I thought, and then he left. The DVD drawer is still broken. Now they are sending a tech out to replace that. I've got 27 hours in this problem and they still haven't got it right. I hear apology after apology but they never offer to nor will they do anything for me to compensate for all my time if asked.
I've had great luck with Dell up to this point. This will be the last product I buy from Dell. Sorry you are so rotten Dell. I can't fix you. You must fix yourself.

I wanted to buy a Dell computer (Vostro Desktop ) without the monitor being offered by Dell. First mistake wanted to buy Dell, second called their help line on Saturday. The guy from Dell said all their sales agents were on training and when pressed said i was free to go and buy from any other manufacturer. The mails escalating the problem is of no use. I think they should rename "DELL" to
"DULL"

I will never purchase a dell product again
After purchasing a dell wireless printer that did not work they kept me on phone for 2 hrs only to find they had to send me a replacement printer the second printer does not operate wirelessly, after 2 1/2 hrs they only managed to uninstall my media application so now it is time for another phone call. the next phone call was again about two hrs and after having having them reinstall the media application i learned they removed my anti virus software. So another phone call and another couple of hrs to do something about my virus software. In the meantime my wireless printer is still not functioning wirelessly. They cost me about 10 hrs on the phone this has all happen within two days of recieving the computer. I will never purchase a dell product again.

Dell's customer service is HORRIBLE! They have screwed up my order and now I have to wait twice as long to get it - no apologies and no compensation. A Customer Care MANAGER (Indian of course) told me in her horrible accent to go an get a glass of water and when I calmed down to come back and talk to her? I was just trying to explain my situation. It was so rude. You cannot talk to an American if you tried. I am having to suffer for a screw up that Dell is responsible for, and it is a horrible feeling.
