Picked up my bag from the planeside check and found the handle broken off. talked to the gate agent and was told "go home and file a complaint online". I get to the place I'm staying and look online, where it was clearly stated, file a complaint at the airport where your bag was damaged. I call NWA/Delta, who tell me, no you should have filed at the airport. Then they tell me that i can file on my return flight final destination. I arive there and they tell me, first, that I should have filed at the airport of my first flight. Seriously.
Then, finally, they tell me that they "don't fix handles". Swiss Army/Victorianox bag that is practically brand new and thet rip the handle off, give me the run around and then they "don't fix bags".
NWA was much better before merge with Delta
