Bat
I have been in a batting rut for a few months now, i just cannot seem to hit the ball far enough so my parents surprised me about a month ago by taking me to a sporting goods store and buying me a DeMarini bat; the cf4. Well yesterday i went to my game and i was up to bat, this being only like the fourth time i had ever used my bat, and i hit the ball and the whole end of my bat just flew off. It embarrased me so much because the umpire had to check my bat to make sure we had not put any thing in it like tennis balls or something. so my brother in law checked on line and it said you had to have the recipt to send it back to get it fixed. Of course my mom just had to through it away so now im stuck with this sorry piece of crap bat. i will never buy another DeMarini and i would never recommend this bat to anyone, it didnt even help my batting.

Warranty
So I purchased a CF4 bat for my 16 year old daughter at x-mas time where it sat for over 1 month before putting into play with her high school teams practice in February. After striking the ball in practice, she said she heard a very distinct "click" which was heard by several others. I examined the bat and found a chip in the surface of the bat and decided to send it in to have it examined. After 2 weeks I was told by Demarini that it was determined that there is nothing wrong and it would be sent back. After pressing "Nick" on the process and his expertise, I realized that the determination wast hat someone picked it up, looked at the chip, shook it and said "it's good". I asked if the could X ray it or ultrasound to check for structural defects and was told no. I brought up the point of newness and also the care of not using it a a batting cage. I think that after spending over $300.00 for a bat I could expect that they would at least fill the area to prevent it from spreading, which they also failed to do. My question was then "why" did the paint delaminate?, and if it is a manufacturing flaw, they should at least repair the surface which they refused to do. I am now stuck with an expensive piece of crap that Demarini refuses to stand behind. My kid has been playing since 7 years old and knows when soemthing doesn't feel right with any bat. Demarini is crap in my mind and a customer service nightmare.

Doesn't stand behind warranty
We returned our sons damaged bat DeMarini under their warranty. Two weeks later we get the bat back with a letter telling us that the bat was damage not due to game play. My son hit an out the park ball. My son said that his bat felt funny at his next up to bat. When the bat was returned it said that if you disagreed to contact Kim Seigal by e-mail. I e-mailed her right away. She e-mailed me and said that her engineer said a baseball could not make that damage. She also said that a leather ball or composite baseball is not physically capable of causing the crease. Yet their warranty covers ball impact denting. DeMarini was not at the game. We pay hundreds of dollars for these bats and he did not mis-use it or do anything other than play baseball, practice, lessons and hitting in our cage.(NO machine) My son is a honor student athlete and is very upset that DeMarini thinks that he is a liar. These baseball boys at his age high school understand how much money is in put into their gear.(gloves, bats, ect..) DeMarini has lost our faith and we will not be purchasing anymore products from them. We had bought many bats troughout our kids club teams and now college but they have lost our trust.

bat warranty
My sophmore in high school purchased a Vooddo bat from DeMarini. He went up to bat and hit an out of the park home run. He told his dad before his next up to bat that his bat felt funny after that hit. We thought nothing of it till later that night when my husband examined it better. We sent it back in to DeMarini since they have a ONE YEAR WARRANTY on their product. It was returned to me two weeks later with a letter that stated that the damage done to the bat was not caused from normal game play. Seriously! We play almost $400.00 dollars for these bats so we must be playing tennis or golf with it other than baseball. My son has NEVER used his bat for other than practice, games, lessons, and hitting in our cage that does not have a machine. My son is a honor student athlete and is taken by DeMarini that they would even think to say that he was lying about how the bat got damaged. We have two boys that have played club ball for many, many years now one is now high school and the other in college both playing ball. They value the gear in their bags. Gloves, Catchers Equipment, bats, battig gloves, ect... is expensive and to be called a liar and the company cannot tell US FOR SURE WHAT MADE THE DENTS BUT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A BASEBALL TO DENT A METAL BAT. Tell that to the colleges that dent afew bats a game. We now out to defend our son against this bologna. Please help us... Thanks The women to told us her engineers assured her that it could not have happened from a ball is silly.. Her name is Kim Seigal her number is 1-800-937-2287 Customer Service Manager
