Scam

I paid my vehicle registration fee on time on the DMV's web site. This was back in December 29. I called both my bank and the DMV in January to find out why the money wasn't deducted from my account if the payment was done automatically. This week a received a letter stating that I owed them 60% more for late fees and because my check was not honor. I called my bank and they never received this transaction. DMV said it was their online system and they couldn't do anything about it. Please do not use theironline payment system. It ***!!!

Medical insurance

I had worked for the DMV for 2 years, when due to health issues I had to go our on diability. I was out of work for a year when one day in March I went to the doctor I was told that my insurance had been canceled. When I called the HR dept. they said that I was supposed to pay for my insurance as of Oct 2007 but nobody notified me of this. When I told them I was on diability they said that they would take care of it. Then when I went to the doctor they said that it was again canceled as of Jan 2008, so again I called them and was told I was supposed to of been paying since Jan. of course I did not hear anything from them about this. So I ended up going on social security diability and tried to sign up for cobra so that my family could have insurance and was told that I would have to pay the 10, 000 dollars for all of the back months. Now I have no insurance and cannot find any that is affordable due to my health issues. Is ther anything I can do about this or is it just too late? I keep waiting for the insurance company to come after me for the money.
