I have a 2 year old son who I have been recieving food stamps and medicaid for along with my self since he was born. well me n my husband got married ( he is not my sons biological father). We ended up living at my mother and father in laws house because my husband lost his job. Well dcf cut off my foodstamps saying that since my husband is under 22 (he is 21) he was still considered a child in his mothers house and they cant approve us for anything not even my son. Well my son and I still had medicaid n i was told that I would have it for 12 more months. But yesterday Dcf closed me and my sons medicaid saying we were not eligible. I think this government needs to get their heads straight. Even though we live in my mother in laws house she cant afford to feed and pay for our stuff. but since we live here dcf seems to think she can. I think this is rediculous I have a 2 year old they are gonna deny cause my husband is 21 not 22 I thought the adult age in the USA was 18.
