Unauthorized charge- overdraft fees
On 1/15/2010 Dermitage made an unauthorized charge to our bank acct for $99.95 which caused a severe overdraft on our account.
We had several smaller purchase alreadymade and had no Intentions of using our account until our paycheck was deposited.
We spoke to dermitage at 800-886-8805.
We were Informed that Dermitage would replace the overdraft fees.
9 x $37.00= $333.00 in overdraft fee.
We were given a fax no# 213-342-3780 to fax the bank letter that clearly states that accounts overdraft was due to the unauthorize deduction from Dermitage
We tried to fax more than 12x's FAX FAILED is the response.
We called spoke to a Shelia and a supv Samantha neither were willing to help..
The below letter came from M&T bank
As requested I ordered a letter to be sent to you stating that the holding purchase from SYN Dermitage for $99.95 did cause the insufficient funds fees to be assessed to your account.

Deceptive scam
Dermitage Advanced Skin Renewal Scam
On Yahoo (in January 2010) there was an offer to try Demitage Advanced Skin Renewal products FREE - the only payment was $5.95 shipping and handling for the sample.
I placed an order for the free samples -- like thousands of other people. I am not an ignorant consumer looking for a deal that is too good to be true -- this seemed like a reasonable way for a cosmetics company to get consumers to try their product.
Luckily I just noticed at the bottom of the packing slip (just as I was about to throw it away) that in fact I would be charged $99.95 for these samples if I did not return them within 14 days. Not only that, but they would ship me $99.95 worth of product every 30 days if I did not take action.
The conditions of the FREE trial were nowhere obvious in the offer. I have just been told by the "robotic" customer service rep that it is in 12 point type on the screen where you put in your credit card number.
I just did a search to see if others had a problem with Dermitage -- and found out this scam has been going on for at least several years -- follow this link to read complaints from those of us who have taken our time to write -- http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/dermitage-a19724/bydate.html
This is clearly deceptive advertising. It is likely that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have been caught in this scam and been forced to pay for something they didn't want, and possibly couldn't afford, simply to save their credit score.
Who are the organizations that have authority over this kind of a scam? They should be informed -- and if they in fact have any real "purpose", they should take action.

Dermitage scam
BEWARE of this slick marketing gimmick. Dermitage advertises through a variety of online and print advertisements that you will receive a "FREE" SAMPLE of their anti-aging cream. If you don't read the fine-print very carefully, you will not notice that you have to return the product within 14 days if you don't want to be billed $109.00. You will continue to receive the product EVERY 30 days, along with a bill of $109., including shipping.
When you call to find out how to return the product and cancel future orders, you will continue to get the run around. They will allow you to keep the "free" product for a few additional weeks, but when you return it, they go ahead and charge your account!!! So far, the "free" product has cost me the price of having the free sample shipped to me, the cost to return the free sample, plus the charge for the free product, all total, approximately $130.00! Hopefully, they won't continue to send the product to me!
These people need to be placed behind bars!!

Membership Fraud
After agreeing to a free trial for the cost of shipping and handling (5.95) I received an unwanted, unordered box which I gave back to the mail man unopened.
Next I notice a $93.92 charge to my credit card. After calling customer service and going past the first associate to a manager, I was told I'd not returned the product properly nor discontinued my "membership" of monthly products. This manager "Kristen" finally gave me partial credit ($44.90) after a lot of back and forth with her.
I still feel "taken" for the $50+ it cost for the trial products. This is a very misleading website... AVOID IT!!!
My opinion is that they still owe me the full amount, but I'm not sure how to achieve that goal without spending more money than they owe me. I think that's what they are counting on!

misleading
I guess I should know better. I saw their advertisement online. 7.95 for a free sample. I gave my info, hit accept and surprise! I have 30 days to return or they will charge me 99.00. I don't care what their product is, this is a shameful way to do business. I had to call to get a number to return the product, returned the product, and have a post office number to show I sent it. I also called my credit card, and changed the number so they can't charge me anymore. The dermitage representative was polite, and asked why I wanted to return it. I told her that my point is that if they have a good product, people will order it without a scam policy.
I will buy my products at a store I can walk in to, and return if I need to.
Even if the product was fantastic, I don't trust them. Trust is the name of the game for return business

Rip off and Rude
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. It has been the biggest headache. You dont get anytime to use it and then you have to send the bottles back. Customer Service is horrid. They are extremely rude. I was on hold for ever and then had to explain over and over why I dont want the product and when she finally got it her attitude really went. Put me on hold again for my return number and then came back to tell me it would be emailed. I am not even at them charging my account for a product I do not want. Afer reading all of those nightmares I am going to nip it in the bud right now and call my bank and tell them do not let them in my account for any reason. How tacky to have to return bottles!!! BUYER BEWARE!!

Quantity
I bought this for my mother to try. The bottle this is in is much larger than the product that it actually contains. Because of how expensive it is, she wanted to get the most out of the bottle so she stuck a Q-tip in it to extract the last of it. To her surprise, the Q-tip went in less than 1/2 and inch! There is less than 1/2 inch of product in a "large bottle." COMPLETE RIP-OFF, buyer BEWARE. It took me two - three phone calls to get them to stop charging my credit card as well. These scams are everywhere. It's DISGUSTING.

billing for no product
14 day free trial, if you do not properly return the product with the product code information that must be recovered from calling customer care they will refuse that product to be returned. I have no problem with their terms of return on product.
I cannot use product I was HIGHLY ALLERGIC to this product...
I called customer care, advised them to cancel my account, do not continue to be bill do not send me more product on December 4, 2009. THEY CONFIRMED THAT IS WAS CANCELLED, I was advised I would be billed for the trial product 89.00 that had been shipped and used, I agreed, and customer care advised there would be NO additional product shipped and NO future billing.
I VERIFIED BILLING FOR DECEMBER, considered the issue closed.
I have been billed for Dermitage product again on January 16, 2010, with NO product shipped to me,
They are continuing to bill me without even shipping product to my house now - basically this company has my credit card and is billing my credit card company $93.00 a month for nothing -
I have cancelled per their requirement, paid for the original FREE TRIAL product.
YET I AM BILLED FOR ANOTHER MONTH FOR $93.00 INCLUDES SHIPPING, AND THEY HAVE NOT SHIPPED ANYTHING NOTHING ZERO
IT IS A HUGE SCAM TO RIP YOU OFF - - - STAY AWAY...

Get Charge for Unauthorize Transaction
First they place a pop up advertise when I used by bank of america online site. They said the product is Free all I need to do is pay for the shipping fee. I paid for that and I got the Product in the mail. one month later they charge my card for $89.95 without my authorization. I called them and they said that is the cost for the product that they send me last month. I told them I only authorize the shipping fee and how do I get charge for the product when they said it was FREE. I told them I want my money back and I can return their cream back to them because I haven't use it yet. They said no I have to pay for the Cream and refused to refund my money.
