Unauthorized debit of checking account
This was a promotional item that was advertised on line from either Big Lots or Wal Mart as a free gift, if I paid the shipping and handling. My debit card was debited for $3.97. Their was no other disclaimer associated with this promotion. Weststar Credit Union has been notified that this transaction has been done without authorization and is being disputed.

Scam
This is the first time I am posting a complaint. While surfing the web, I recently 'fell' for a pop-up add for a trial offer for 'anti-wrinkle' cream from Dermitage.' Not only does this product not work but now I see a $99.95 bill on my credit card statement NOT the $5.95 charge as stated. I read the 'small print' but failed to see anything about a monthly charge. I need to know how to cancel this...please help! I never fall for these scams and cannot afford to pay. Thank you for any direction you can give me.

Free trial is not free
I found a "free trial" for Dermitage on beautyuser.com and only payed 5.95 shipping. Come to find out it wasn't so "free" after all. 20 days after I got the product I was charged an extra 99.95
I went to my bank and they said to fill out a form and change my card number, but I had to call to try to get a refund first. Later Michele (ID# 32733), said she'd credit my account 99.95 and product return wasn't needed. 2 days later I got credited 99.95
I'm just happy to have my money back. Thank you Michele!

Don't try it!! SCAM. Never recieved Trial product
I never recieved the trial period product, then they charged me the $89.xx charge and was told I didnt cancel in time to get the full refund. so they said they could send it at dicounted price and credit half of what they billed, but don't give a cancellation confirmation number, just that they email you that you canceled.
This is a huge scam, the customer service is extremely poor. And even if I did like the product, I would never purchase it because of poor business practices.
I hope everyone who is thinking about buying this product thinks again. Also look on their web site for contacting them...they only have a phone number, no email account, so think about it.

Scam
Eye products DON'T run out in 1 month! Who purchases it monthly? I'm an esthetician of 17 years and my clients DO NOT need to purchase ANY of their skin care products EVERY MONTH! So Dermitage charged me for a SECOND
duo of the eye product and I'm not even half way through the first. THIS IS JUST WRONG. They would not reverse the charges. I will never deal with Dermitage again or recommend them to anyone else...EVER! THIS IS ONE SURE WAY TO PERMANENTLY LOOSE A GOOD CUSTOMER & REFERRAL. IT IS A REAL SCAM I TELL YOU!

MARKETING SCAM
I’m urging anyone and everyone to file a LEGAL COMPLAINT with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, https://app.dca.ca.gov/cru/gencomplaint.asp. I did. I was taken in by the "Free Sample wile on vacation in the US; they billed my credit card automatically every month until I had it cancelled. Dermitage and Marketing scammers like them should be shut down. It doesn’t even matter what the product is like, their system of promoting it is disingenuous and unethical. PLEASE, take the 2 minutes out of your busy day to do this. Maybe you'll help someone else in the process. SPREAD THE WORD!

Fraudulent company
I fell for the dermitage ad about paying $7.00 S&H for a sample product. (Or as it turned out.. a sample trial period of THE product.) Supposedly, order the product and you have a trial period of 14 days. The catch: They send the actual product and YOU have a total of 14 days to send it back to them or they charge $90 to your account!! AND you have to CONTACT THEM FIRST to get a send back number before you can return the product!! Good luck with that!! I'd tried to contact them via telephone, as their blurb said. NO answer or busy. (And telephone was THE ONLY WAY they could be contacted.) When I saw they had charged $90 for their 2 oz skin lotion to my Discover card, I again attempted to contact them. When I finally contacted the nasty "customer service" broad, she had a "pat answer obviously written down". "You had the product well over 14 days; "everyone else" has been able to contact us; TOUGH LUCK, SUCKER!!" (Okay.. maybe she didn't say that last part out loud..) Discover card did their version of an investigation. Basically.. I got totally screwed!! I looked up some legal info and the "statement" dermitage uses in their "agreement" uses "uncommon language" and "uncommon practices" not normally used and, therefor, unexpected types of terms and conditions. (I had forwarded the exact info to Discover and they have deleted all correspondence.) I also wrote up a report for www.ripoffreport.com AND I contacted the official federal site dealing with fraudulent web sites and I reported dermitage. Of course, it's in limbo.
