On 17 Jun 2011, I shopped at Macy's Tyson's Corner, VA for myself and my niece. We arrived at in plenty of time to get promotional sale prior to 1:00pm. Out selling Asssociate 71490733 informed me that in order to get the 20% discount on Designer Clothing I would have to apply for another Macy's Card. I informed her that doesn't make sense since I already hold a Macy's card, which at that time your Sales Associate emphatically stated that I would get discount. I informed her as long as it doesn't take that long, no problem. Upon completing and processing new card, your Sales Associate indicated won't work, no discount; however, I have a new card. I DO NOT WANT A NEW CARD, based on my holding of previous card. She basically lied to me as far as I am concerned for her own gratification in getting customers to sign on. Very unprofessional and a definite waste of my time, as is now in me having to file this complaint. I also revisited your store on the 24th of Jun and spoke with your Sales Manager, Amy, and she indicated she would take care of; however, not sure if anything was said.
I spent $359.73 on one ticket and $261.16 on another ticket for my niece, . If your Sales Associate realizes any benefit from this, it should definitely be removed, as she did nothing to deserve any type of recognition for being untruthful in her representing Macyy's.
I want to reestablish my old card and do away with the replacement card that is evidently being forwarded to me as addressed in your letter to me on 17 Jul 2011.
