Did not receive subscription

I ordered a magazine subscription in May 2010. My check was cashed. It's now January 2011 and I have not received any magazines and no one answers the phone when you call the company. I was suppose to receive the first magazine within 5 months. After reading other complaints, I fear that I have lost my money.

Sales Company Rip-Off

Door-to-door salesman sold us a subscription to Discover Magazine. The subscription began as promised. But we ordered and paid for 24 issues and Discover Magazine claims we were only signed up for 12. Numerous calls directly to Diamond Sales have gone unanswered. We also contacted World Class Circulation, Corp., SubscriptionAgency.com, Budget Reading Services, and Discover Magazine and no one has been able to help resolve this problem.

Diamond Sales, Inc. has stolen (more than) half of the money we paid them to start a subscription on our behalf. We paid them $45 for 24 issues of Discover Magazine, plus a $9 processing & handling service charge was added. This was a total of $54, yet they failed to submit our subscription for the proper term. At first we gave them the benefit of the doubt, figuring it was merely a clerical error. But after months of calling them, leaving messages, and never being called back, we now assume the "error" was intentional.
