This store is a high pressure sales machine that is hawked repeatedly by Carnival Cruise Lines personnel. Carnival, incidentally, owns Diamonds International, so that should be a reason to be wary of DI and maybe also Carnival. We bought a .43 point diamond, .6 point sapphire eternity ring (2 rings welded together) for over $1500 on 22 February 2010 in their Belize store. The shopping consultant on the Carnival Miracle was a total BS artist, so if anything, avoid these talks on Carnival ships other than to go to the presentations and when she asks if there are any questions, ask her about all the complaints you have read on the internet about DI. Our ring had stones that were improperly mounted, and one of the sapphire bagets fell out unnoticed to us until yesterday, 50 days after we purchased the ring and 20 days after their 30 day warranty against defects. We called customer service today and they said we would be called back within several hours. Well, the several hours passed by, and nothing. I will let you know if they call tomorrow. I doubt it. These people have a reputation of being unscrupulous based on all the complaints I have read so far. I wish I had done my reading before we sailed on the ship. I intend to go on Carnival again, and I will sail armed with a stack of the complaints on the internet about DI and hit the lying sales consultant right in the face with questions about every one of them.
