Diet Scam
On 8/3 I ordered a free trial sample of Diet Max Cleanse from a website http://acaiberrytablets.com/ -- and used a debit card for the transaction, although it was a FREE trial. In the fine print it said you had to cancel within 10 days or you were automatically enrolled in a monthly program to receive a monthly supply for $87.47/month plus $2.95 shipping. But I noticed my bank account was charged immediately after I ordered the product (although it was flagged as pending charges).
I called the next day to attempt to talk to someone about the charges, they said they were pending charges if I continued with the program.
After trying the product for a month, I did not lose any weight, rather I think I actually gained a few pounds. the product does make you go to the bathroom more often.
On 9/15 I attempted to cancel and they told me to go to a website to do the cancellation online. I did, and my actions caused me to be entered into a life-time membership of ProfitVault and they charged my bank account $4.97. I called again to ask them what this was all about and they said it was a different company and I would have to deal with ProfitVault. I then called them and finally after some serious screaming I was able to get them to cancel.
And to top it all off, I noticed another charged on 10/25 for $1.49. This made me furious, so I called again and got a run around excuse, and I demanded to speak to a supervisor. He said he'd credit my account within 10-14 days. I demanded the credit be made at once. The next day I noticed the credit to my account.
After 3 shipment charges of $2.95 each, 3 product charges of $87.47 each, a membership charge of $4.97 to ProfitVault, and another charge of $1.49 ---- I would say this company is a big scam. Not only is the product worthless, they are masters at hiding behind the phone, Internet, and computer systems that they say are always down.
I hope my bad experiences prevents others from making the same mistake I did.
Diet Max Cleanse and Nutrimax Labs is a shady company scamming anyone they can find. DO NOT do business with them!

Continually taking money from my account
Acai Max Cleanse Company is riping people off saying all you pay is $2.95 for shipping & handling and thats it! I called several times to cancel order and keep getting the same excuse, the phone lines are having problems (then they hang up on me) or I'm told to call back in 2-3 hours because there system is currently down. So far in the past week they have taken out almost $50 from my account. I ask my bank to no longer allow them to take any more money out of my account & I filed a complaint. I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file an additional complaint. I never received the product, the customer service is terrible & this company is a big scam! Thanks to Health News Weekly" for contributing to this scam, they were the reason I decided to try it anyway! Bad advice on behalf of Helen Cohen, the person who wrote the article!
Sincerely, Mrs. Moore

Can't Cancel/Fraud
I ordered the product 10/13/2010 and had not received it by 10/18/2010. I called and stated I knew about the 10 day trial, so I wanted to cancel. They stated they would extend my trial until Nov 1st. Since the product was not effective I called back on 10/28/2010 to cancel. While on hold I noticed my bank account had a pending $74.26 charge from Diet Max. Finally they answered and I explained I wanted to cancel, the guy tried first to talk me out of it and stated it takes time. When I refused he stated it can't be done because my trial is not over. I protested and he stated he was canceling, but would not give me a confirmation number and instead told me I would have to go to www.cancelsite.com to get the confirmation. While on the line I tried the site and it does not exist, he stated it would be up in an hour and I expressed to him he was full of it(I work in silicon valley). He stated there is nothing more he can do, so now I have to pay my bank the $30 charge to block this company and also have to fight to recover the money they took. I had a feeling when I placed the order and received no confirmation this was a scam. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

unathorized charges
I ordered those diet pills and authorized a one time fee of $ 3.95 to be taken out of my account. The shipment arrived well beyond the 10 day trial period. After taking 3 pills I decided to quit because I was feeling sick every time. Calling this company to stop further shipments is impossible, nobody ever answered the phone. So I sent a letter to the company requesting to cancel any further shipments.
We are retired and we were gone July, August and September. In October I checked my account statements and found out that not only $ 89, 21 were taken out of the account several times, also $ 9.95 fee was taken out (PROFITVAULT ). I called my bank to dispute all those charges and I was told that I was not the only one complaining about the same company. I opened a investigation with the bank and canceled my debit card.
The company is operating obviously out of El Tecal, Panama and is nothing but low life scam. I will engage the Attorney General and the Postal Inspector to further check into this company's fraudulent behavior.
Scam artists and criminals have to be stopped.

Free Trial is Not Free its a $87.13 scam
Diet Max sells a trial bottle of their diet product for $4.95. In the fine print of their terms and conditions it says that you'll be charged for a subscription if you don't cancel within 10 days. The subscription is $87.13 a month. In our case, the product hadn't even arrived in the mail before the $87.13 charge appeared. Diet Max agreed to cancel any future billings, but under their terms, they don't have to refund the $87 charge. I called the credit card company and they said there was no option to dispute this charge since it was within the company's terms and conditions. Its obviously just a scam. Do NOT buy Diet Max!

unauthorized charged
Ordered free sample of Diet Max Cleanse but had an adverse reaction causing me to vomit. I called the company and cancelled my subscription immediately after. One month later, I did not get charged for the full 87 dollars but instead was charged $9.76 for something called PROFITVAULT which was also accompanied by an international processing fee. I investigated the charge and found that it is the same location (El Tacel in Panama) as Diet Max Cleanse. It was also the exact same MCC number (a form of merchant identification number) signifying that it was the same company making the fraudulent charges. Come to find, instead of charging me the full subscription price they created a new order under a different name but charged to my account/CC. If I had missed this fraudulent charge, they would have charged my account with full subscription charge later. I called my bank fraud department and had my card cancelled. The bank will be investigating the fraudulent charges. Diet Max Cleanse and Nutrimax Labs is a shady company scamming anyone they can find. DO NOT do business with them!

fraud
I placed an order for the "free sample" for the handling charge of $3.95 and then proceeded to read the fine print.
I immediately called and cancelled the order (same day). The representative said the handling charge had already gone through and could not be cancelled but no further billings would be forthcoming.
Things rocked along and no product was received and no billing appeared.
Upon looking at this month's credit card billing I notice a charge from these crooks for $87.47 though no product was ever received.
Do not fool with these people, it will cost you!

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
I too ordered there product thinking that it was a great deal epsecially for the price of just the shipping & handling well 2 weeks later, i also noticed a $87.47 UNATUTHORIZED!!! charge on my bank statement online along with an international service fee and when i called i was told that there system was down and that I need to call back within an hour...BullS&*%^!!!...so i simply called my bank's dispute dept and informed them about this bogus transacation letting them know that i had attempted to call the merchant to resolve this with them but they said NO REFUND and that i wanted to open the case, cancel my bank card and get another one overnighted. So they opened a case, refunded the $87.47 + the international service to me right then, and ordered me another bank card to be overnighted to me. Sure i had to pay $16 for overnight delivery (which was automatically taken out of my acct) but it was well worth it rather than possibly having thes disgusting excuses for human beings continue to scam & steal my money!!!

Charging credit card
Diet Max has charged my account twice for $87.47 although I told a representative to cancel all orders and charges. The company seems to be working with advancedcolon.com. It is unclear who to contact or how to contact anyone who can help.

Fraud - unauthorized charges
I started with the trial 9-3-10 was charged 87.97 on the 13th Sept and and yet again today! With all these complaints that I have read, it's obvious this is a scam. What am I to do? What has everyone else done so that it will help everybody who is falling prey to this? Please advise.
