Charged my credit card and won't refund it
I too have been ripped off by these people. They offered a no charge 30 day free trial of their product through the internet but I had to give them my credit card # for the "promotional coded reduced shipping". Within 15 minutes of using their web site (which was not listed as Diet Max, it was the Acia name) I got a call from a number out of New York (646-810-6468) and they were calling to confirm I understood how to use the product. Of course the person that called spoke with such a strong accent I told them I couldnt understand them and they had to put someone else on the phone. Their accent wasn't much better. They then proceeded to tell me they would be charging my card for the first shipment and I told them that it said it was suppose to be free for 30 days and if it was not that I wanted the order cancelled. Guess what, that's right they charged it anyway! I found out the hard way when I tried to use my card today and it was rejected. My credit card company gave me the # that appeared on the charge (877-824-0369) and it took me calling over and over and holding for more than ten minutes every time I was actually able to get someone to answer the phone to speak with anyone (Crystal, allegedly a customer service representative. She said she has no record that the order was cancelled and that it had been shipped to me on 2-8-11. I told her it was cancelled on the same day that it was placed and that I do not have the product and wanted instructions on how to secure a refund to my credit card. She said THEY DON"T DO REFUNDS. The office I was speaking to her in was located in Chicago (allegedly). She gave me a USPS tracking # and when I checked it, yep you guessed it, no such number. I'm filing a dispute with my credit card company but it may or may not be accepted and I'm stuck with loosing money. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING THROUGH THE INTERNET AGAIN!
