DIGITAL OUTLET MEGASTORE Reviews

Ripoff
While on vacation needed a charger for our Cannon digital camera battery. Went into the store. The salesperson ran and got the charger, ripped open the package to demonstrate the battery fit, had the purchase rung up before we even finished looking through the store. We were overwhelmed at the cost of $89.99 and when questioned about the price we were told it was opened, it was ours and that we wouldn't find a better price anywhere. We needed it so we bought it but told them that we would be back if we found it cheaper. The next day we found 3 alternatives, none over $29.99. We tried to return it or get a price adjustment which resulted in a shouting match and insults from the employees. We're working with our credit card company and the Better Business Bureau to resolve this issue.

pricing
I was in the area and bought a lens cap holder and uv filter for my camera and found out when I got home after checking I paid over 4 times for these products. The pricing on this items are marked $29.99 and $199.99 and then at the register they tell you their pricing...outrageous and please stay away from this business when you are in Kissimmee, Florida

RIP OFF

While vacationing in Florida, we spend a day shopping. My wife wanted to go to an outlet mall and on the way I saw this "outlet" store, so I stopped and the wife and I went in to look at laptop computers and possibly some camera lenses. I asked the salesman if he had an inexpensive laptop that was set up with wi fi compatability. He showed me a black one for $399. Because of the price, I asked if it was used or refurbished. He said no and was adamant that he would not sell me someone elses problems. I told him that one looked used. He showed me another, this one for $799, said it was a brand new gateway, with a 2 year warranty, wi-fi compatabile and they had added Office 2007. I knew from research that product sold new for about 600 and if they added software, it probably was worth 750 - 800. When I hesitated, he offered to throw in a carrying case. So I agreed.

We left for home the next day, so after getting home, and charging the laptop, I went on line to register it with Gateway and found it had been returned to them by a prior owner, they had sent it out for refurbishing and resale. I have filed a complaint with the local BBB but so far no response from the BBB or the business. So - BUYER BEWARE OR DIGITAL OUTLET MEGASTORE -----

RIPOFF
I'm from Venezuela and were with my family on vacation in Orlando and decided to go and buy a computer laptop.
We pased by the store and decided to go in and see the merchandise.
This sales man nemed Nestor told us that he was from Venezuela too, we started by seing black berrys, then he told us that he had a great promotion by buying 1 articule for more than $1.500, 00.
As many of you know in my country we have restricted amounts of dollars per person, we only are able to carry with us $ 2.500, 00 in a credit card for a hole year, no matter how many times you travel, because we dont have a free market of forenght money and the goverment controls everything, and the sales man new this very well.
The promotion was that by buying 1 article of more than $ 1.500, 00 he would send me door to door 1 SONY TV 46', 6 blackberrys storm, 6 blackberrys touch, 1 Nintendo WII and 6 ipod touch, all of this Iwould be able to pay it in Bolivares wich is my Venezuelian money.
He made me fill some papers putting my name, adrees, phone number and e-mail adrees.
He told me than SONY, was going to send me a e-mail and that I should feell it up with my personal information and the invoice number for shipping.
So without a doubt I made a purchase of a HP Mini 1033cl in $ 1.600, 00 plus TAX.
To do this purchase I had to pay with more than one credit card, and he made an invoice of each payment.
The next day I had to leave to my country and looking in the internet I found out that the computer I bought was worth 3 times less than what I had paid, and of course I have not recibed an e'mail from SONY or the merchandise I was waiting for.
This Sales man is not only ripingoff people but is putting SONY in a very bad position, because he used the company name to make it more belivable.
I'ts not my intention to get my money back, but to keep this guys from doing this to more people, and they should pay for what they are doing.
Thanks for lisening,

Eileen

I was recently on vacation in Kissimmee, Fl and wanted to get a new camera for travel. We went into the Digital Outlet Megastore because it was an "outlet" store and figured we could find a good deal on a good camera. After Carlos showed me an Olympus camera he told me he'd give me good deal on it because I am a photographer and he was also in his spare time. After buying the camera for $200 he showed me a wide angle macro lens for my professional camera. It had many qualities that I liked. He told me that it was $500. I couldn't spend that much so we bargained and came up with $100. The price tag on the box said $1300. After getting home I decided to research my purchases and found out that the camera I bought for $200 was $119 online with a case and rechargable battery set. The lens was $30. I don't know what can be done about this but if it can save someone else from getting scammed then I hope it does.
