Refuse to pay for damaged property
I will never again use Dimension Moving & Storage!! Never!! I would advise others to find an upstanding company with a positive record that cares enough to RESOLVE their customers' claims, not a company whose only concern is the almighty dollar!!

Here's my report:

First off, they had three delivery guys who could NOT speak english, making it hard to communicate what boxes went where, and how to assemble my canopy bed, etc. The lead guy, "Nissan" is a complete idiot!! The two other guys slaved away while he was outside on personal calls on his cell phone! When he did come inside, he was a lazy punk who was just in the way! He was an idiot who had no clue about putting together my canopy bed, which I had to do!! I kept telling them "watch the walls", do not smudge the walls but that didn't help - they couldn't understand english!! They ended up losing grip of one of the canopy rods scraping the wall trying to retrieve it!

Finally, I had to tell Nissan to GET OUT of my home because of his disrespectful and threatening demeanor and he vowed to leave the job undone then and there! I pleaded with the other two in broken spanish to PLEASE HELP ME get the bed together, Nissan tried to outvoice me, demanding they leave with him. I tried to close my bedroom door to keep him away, and he put his foot down and arm in the doorway preventing me from closing it!!! I told him I was going to call the sheriff's office!!! He must've gotten scared because he then walked out. Idiot!!!

ALOT of my household goods were damaged, and alot of my stuff was missing!! My CalKing mattress and box springs??!! How do you lose that??! Mirrors and pictures they packed were broken and shattered into pieces!! Plant stands, filing cabinet, my 55" TV casters were splintered off, etc., etc.!

One of the guys was putting the legs on my sofa, and jostled it into my sofa table that they had placed ON ITS END in the middle of the room, causing it to CRASH into my 42" HDTV and new eyeglasses that were on the tv stand, also knocking over a lamp, table, shattering the bulb! We were beyond disbelief!!

Smartly, we took photographs of all the damage they caused. If there is a next time I hire movers, I will videotape the entire pickup and delivery, in addition to taking photographs.

After the delivery nightmare, we immediately tried to contact Mike, left several voicemails to him and the customer service department. An unsympathetic female employee called me back two days later directing me to their "claims department". WHAT A JOKE!! The Claims Adjusting Firm they contract with are equal with Dimension in terms of unprofessionalism !! After painstakingly itemizing the damage, submitting photos and a copy of all my contract paperwork, and back and forth (mis)communication -- they offered me a settlement of $144.00!! They completely denied the TV and eyeglasses claim, stating they weren't inventoried!

Of course they weren't inventoried you idiots!! They were ALREADY IN MY HOME when your circus clowns arrived with my damaged property and without my other property!!

I have pleaded and pleaded with Mike Magen, President of Dimension Moving & Storage, Inc. to review my claim, and reimburse me for the TV and eyeglasses. He has REFUSED TO DO THAT! He has re-directed me to his claims firm. I made it a point to clarify to him that those items WERE NOT A PART OF THE CONTRACT, they were MY personal property already in my home at the time of delivery when his delivery guys damaged them.

Moving damage and lost items
All we seek is reasonable compensation for moving damage and lost items that occured last year. This has been an on going from 1 Aug. 2008.

Request help in getting this resolved.
