Air conditioning Unit
Last year (2010) my utility bill was extremely high and my house would not stay cool. I then decided to buy an AC unit. I looked through the phone book and found the first company in the book- big mistake. The company I found was right from the book of hell. A representative came out and stated I needed a new handler and unit. I got suckered, he used the old-- this deal want last on me. I got suckered in purchasing a unit that day. I got a 2 year warranty that came with the unit. The guys that put the unit in made a big mess in my garage, it looks terrible. The unit was placed up in the garage; this is what caused the mess. The unit I had before looked as if it was put in by professionals, these guys worked look like amateurs. Continuing, The unit did bring my bill down for a couple of months. After 4 months the unit stopped working and my house smelled like something was on fire. I went up in the attic because it smelled as if it was coming from there. I then turned the unit off and the smelled stopped. The next day I decided to turn my unit back on due to Florida heat. The smell was back and even more intense. I then notice smoke coming from the vents. I turned the unit off again and suffered for two days until Direct Air (I meant Direct Liars) came out. The tech told me it was good I turned the unit off because the unit caught fire. The only thing that saved my house was the circuit breaker. My would have burned to the ground. They fix that problem with replacing a part in the unit. The next time I called it was about two months later. This time it was because I had black mold coming from my vents. I have a 3 year old daughter and she's constantly getting sick due to their failure to do good work. I had to spray disinfectant spray in the unit to kill the mold. I handled that problem myself. The third time was the charm, I had a warranty service call and I was at work. My wife called me and stated the tech stated we need to get about $1000 dollars worth of work done on the unit. I raced home from work. After making it home, the tech refused to tell me what was wrong with my unit. I informed him I was going to record him with my phone. He refused and threatned to leave without informing me. I then called Direct Liars and spoke with the owner. He told me that the tech explained everything to him and he would personally come out to my home in Port Charlotte. I'm still waiting and it's been 3 months. I hope you reading this Mr. owner because you suck. People of Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita Springs, Port Charlotte, Venice, El Jobean, Punta Gorda and the Isles, Don't trust this company. Take your time and find the right place to purchase a unit or just call Dale's Air Conditioning. I hope this goes Huge like the Kia dealership.
