Company Refuse to Make Good on Purchased Products
I requested measurements from Direct Buy of Coppell Texas for a home we purchased in Texas. They referred me to a third party, Creative Shutters, who I paid for blind measurements in Feb 2011. Was told if I purchase blinds from the vendor amount paid would be deducted from total price. By March 26, 2011 I had not received samples nor call backs from Direct Buy of Coppell on status, so I decided to purchase the blinds directly from Direct Buy of Tri-Cities, WA (great customer service from these guys) were we live, from levolor and informed Direct Buy of Coppell Texas of this and the concern that Direct Buy of Tri-Cities, WA, had about the measurements, no response. After the blinds arrived and we telephoned the third party about installing the blinds we were told the measurements they sent were not exact measurements and if we had told Direct Buy of Coppell we were going through someone else they would have informed us that the measurements were not exact. We were further told they could not install anyone else blinds but there's and basically we had thrown away our money. In talking with Direct Buy of Coppell they basically said they don't make any profit so therefore w weould have to eat the cost and reorder the correct size. Corporate Direct Buy tried to mediate but the franchise decided to stick with their vendor decision. Here we are June 20, 2011 with a new home that has not had window coverings since its purchase back on March 1, 2011 and yes we have retained an attorney but my advice to anyone out there is to stay as clear away from Direct Buy of Coppell Texas. Their customer service is terrible and apparantely they find steering their clients to their vendors more important than making sure the customer gets the best product for the best price regardless to who they choose. Not to mention their lack of concern for medigating any problems in a way to satisfy the customer.
