False Advertisment/False Billing
We shopped Direct TV for rates and they informed us that they could bundle our local phone and sattilite service together and we could save. They connected me with their bundle service. After talking to the lady on the phone. My bill was supposed to be $54.99 with a $15.00 credit for bundling with my local phone sevice. The credit was to be shown on my Direct TV bill due to it being a contract with a third party service. After recieving the first Direct TV bill the credit was not shown. I called Direct TV and they informed me that I have to apply for the rebates and the credits. I went to there web site and did all of this. I also want to note that all calls are supposed to be recorded. Direct TV is insisting that they could not pull any of these phone conversations up to verify what was bought with the bundle service. Very convieniant for them isn't it. I spoke with Direct TV a second time and they said that they did not even offer a bundle service discount. Again I asked the gentleman to pull up the order recording to review what Direct TV sold me knowing that the price of $54.99 was confirmed and stated by their salesman. Once again I was informed me that they were not able to do this. I asked if Direct TV was going to void my service agreement due to the fact that they did not uphold there end of the service contract and he said no . That they have no way of doing that even if they were wrong. Way to go Direct TV! I will be cancelling my service with you and I have devoted my time to making sure everyone on the internet knows my story I will also make sure I have exausted all of my options in making sure that every consumer knows just how bad your customer service and how you work to steal from consumers even in this economy.
