I applied for Direct TV service in March 2009. All I was seeking was just a simple Installation. Initially when I applied, I was seeking the direct tv package deal with the internet, telephone and cable services. I did not receive a combination package deal as requested. All services were priced separate. An inexperienced and disgruntled technician was sent out to my house and literally destroyed my property and it has not been fixed to this date. A big hole was drilled in my main waterline which soaked my entire furnished basement area, totally destroyed my walls, drove my waterbill up to over 100 dollars and left a foul smelling order throughout my entire house that has thus caused sickness throughout my family from the bacteria. Destroyed all the wooden borders around my walls. Destroyed my carpet, etc. Charged me for the connection of 4 TV'S that has never worked in which I feel was due partly to it never being properly programmed. Holes have been drilled throughout my property that are huge and visible to anyone that comes into my house. An unsightly big satellite dish was placed beside the main road next to my mail box which definitely brings the neighborhood down. To top matters off, the technician got into a fight and started pushing on my neighbor when he came over to inquire as to why this unsightly satellite was being placed in my yard next to the road for everyone to see. It was a total inconvenience and disrupted my whole day. I have tried calling your agency several times and received promises initially from Mr. Dave Versalle, local agent from Macon who stated that he and some others will be coming out to fix the property themselves and to make amends to what it has cost me. Mr. Versalle came out twice. Once to try and get the television to work which never happened and he promised to come back and again he came and looked at the walls and told me that he and the rest of the crew would arrive the following Sunday. I stayed and no one ever showed up. Nothing was ever repaired and I have been very patient and still have been trying to call Mr. Versalle consistently, but he just pushes the button on the telephone now whenever he see my number pop up. I have tried calling your main office and they promised to get the matter resolved and still no results. I am at a point now whereas I have no choice, but to seek legal assistance with this matter.
My account has been deducted consistently for services that I did not receive until I stopped it last month after realizing that Direct TV was not going to fulfill its obligation as promised. The grief this has caused me has been more than I can describe and I am seeking a full resolution to this situation. I have repeatedly called your company trying to get a resolution to this problem. I mailed a letter to your company as recent as 3 Aug 09. I spoke to a representative briefly only once, but this has been to no avail. I have left message for call back on your voice activated system, but still I have not received a response. Today, I spoke with another of Direct TV representatives in Montgomery Alabama, Ms. Sandra Adams which proved to be very helpful and she did provide me a lot of guidance on what avenue I need to take.
