No signal
We had a thunder storm yesterday and now we are not getting a signal from the satallite. They tv does not work with out a signal.
My wife called them yesterday. They said it would be next sunday before they could get some one out here to fix it. We should not have to do without tv that long. Please contact who ever is necessary to get it fixed. It is in Rebecca Stevens name.
Thank you

CONTRACT AND TERMS
I am new to direct TV. and I must say I am extremely disappointed. It has been a constant head ache from the start, everyday talking to sales agents, their supervisors and even their superiors . No one can seem to get it right. I know what I agreed to when the sales agent gave me the terms and condition. When I called and spoke to another agent to confirm it was completely different to what I agreed to. I am tired of these back and forth conversation that are getting me nowhere and I want a firm answer. I do not watch T.V. often that is why I never had cable in the past but when I was offered this supposedly great deal I felt it was time. What I agreed to was the choice ultimate package with the special rate of $30.00 for the first 20 months and last 4 months were going to go up to $40.00 and everytime i spek to someone new the price changes.

fraudulent sells pitch
Salesman came to our home claiming he was a sister company to the company we were subscribed to and could help us with any problems we were experiencing and save us money at the same time. He failed to tell us that after signing papers we had to go on line to set up account with direct t.v. to get our rebate. We at the time did not have our computer running. Called for service and was told it would cost extra for them to set us up. The gentleman on the phone spoke very bad english which i could not understand. Now I'm paying twice what I was paying to Dish and have one more year on my contract. Idaho is doing class action lawsuit which i want to apply for

lies to customers
When I ordered This service, Direct TV., The add in the local newspaper said that you would recieve a video recorder. I have a handicap and had a Dr's Appointment that day, and my daughter stayed home to allow them in. They did not leave the recorder, I called and they said I HAD TO ASK FOR IT IN ORDER FOR THEM TO LEAVE ONE---NOT WHAT THE ADD SAID! I later moved 5 months later, and I packed all the equipment to the new address, as they said. Then they called me and said it would be 3WEEKS before anyone would be able to come and connect it. Plus they made me pay another $50.00 to come hook it up at my new residence, 10 miles away! Then, 1 nite, I wanted to rent a movie off of PPV, and they said I owed $ 206.00 back due. I always have paid my bills as they come in. And now the darn remote has messed up and I can't get my volume to work on my remote control, they will probably charge me again! Plus if I choose to disconnect, for any reason, I will have to pay $300.00, or they will charge it to my credit card, WITHOUT MY APPROVAL!!! They have a real game going on here.

billing
On October30th I found a 417.96 unauthorized charge to my debt card from Direct T.V. After calling I was told that when i signed the contract it gave d.t.v. power to withdrawl funds at anytime if and when the acct was delinquent... I cancelled my service with them in July and requested the rreturn boxes. Some representitives confirmed cancelation some were unsure.. bottom line is they dropped the ball and the consumers are paying a huge price for it... Can you imagine anytime for any reason... bait and switch
I talked to two sales reps and two so called supervisors. Got 4 different quotes
they all lie and cover for one another.
After they installed the dish on our roof i received an email with a much higher quote.
I tore up the contract that I signed prior to the installation, I was then told by the liars at Direct tv that the contract was valid.
I had the installer take the dish off my roof, and told the liars at direct tv to shove it.
You can never talk to the same person, to verify the quote, they are always at a
different office but with the same phone no.
I have never delt with such a dishonest company in all my life.

No free movie channels/choice package
Two months as a Direct T.V. customer. choice package, in PR flyers Free for 3 months premium movie channels. & there is enough "sport's channels to gag anybody, even if your not interested in "sports", but for National Geographic, you have to get choice xtra package. So far NO movie channels. This is falling on deaf ears, but word of mouth will do this company in if they don't pay attention to what they promise, and don't do.

Contract
After many years of buying programing from this company, I discovered the only way I could get local channels was to switch to Dish Network, and so I did. A few weeks later I was told that if I came back to Direct TV I woulod be able to get local channels from them. I switched. They made me start a new account, witch they told me nothing about. After I was unable to get local channels I went back to Dish Network and I now have local channels again, but Direct TV wants me to pay a two year penalty for early disconnect.

being locked into a contract without knowing
Dear Direct T.V,
Sept 24th 2009
On 12/16/08 I ordered h/d television after purchasing an h/d/ TV. At this time the installer showed up with a huge dish to place on my house and said in addition would need to run more wires. I then told him to forget the h/d/ service realizing it was becoming a huge project. Note I have been a direct TV. customer for almost 10 years between my last two homes and always enjoyed the service. On this day of the h/d installation the installer asked me if I wanted to “upgrade” my dvrs for free. I said sure since it wasn’t going to cost anything and did it not realizing that I would now be locked into a contract for another year. I was never told by him or direct TV about the contract extension.. Why would I be locked in even if I switched over to h/d or upgraded my dvrs? I never needed to upgrade in the first place since the ones I had were purchased many years ago and worked fine. When I cancelled the service in September I was told that I would have to pay a termination fee of 300 dollars because the contract was now extended until December of 09!!! Customer service was also nasty about it and told me “too bad you’ll have to pay!” I feel as a loyal customer for years and never being told upfront that I was fooled into a locked contact. If I knew this was going to happen why would I commit for another year? (I never would have) respectfully I am asking not to be charged a termination fee regarding this matter.
Sincerley,
John and Ann Marie
