Help on dish set up
As a long time customer of Direct TV I asked for a little help on setting up my dish in FL. All I got was the run around about because my account was in CT they could not put in a call for a tech to come to my condo in FL because the computer could not do that. If I told them I was going to move they would set it up run new cable all at no charge. If I was going to be a new customer they would give me everything free. I wanted to use my DVR so I wired my 5th wheel (which does not move) for a dish which I have with three LBNs the cable fellow in the park had trouble setting up the dish which is a little harder then a dish with one LBN.
I don't believe for one minute that a call could not be put in the system all it has to have is someone that knows how. Over ten years as a customer and I can't get a simple dish set up.

Scam
Direct tv once again gains access to a bank account charging outrageous fees . someone needs to stop this! no one told me of a 300 dollar early termination fee when i upgraded! canceled my account and was charged over 700.00 dollars from my account . they did this without my permission.if there is a class action lawsuit against these underhanded poeple someone let me know, i will join today. also their product is horrible.again if anyone knows of a lawsuit pending for their conduct.

Rip Off
Complete FRAUD! These guys said we own the equipment we just purchased from them 1 month ago and it does not work! When we call them to have them fix it, we waited on hold for over 1 hour just be told a service call would cost $250 to go out to correct the problem. Sounds like they purposely make the satellite not work, then just blame it on our equipment that we purchased from them! Horrible attitudes and service! Chris (Badge # 1774) from Direct TV said she does not have a boss and cannot provide her last name due to company policy. A total rip off and fraud!

False advertisement
I was offered three promotional incentives. 1. NFL Channel for three months, the Show time channel and two $50 visa cards. When I couldnt see the NFL channel the following day of their service i was instructed to call customer service. After being on with them for over an hour time. I wasnt qualified because it was expired 2months ago. I receieve the Show time channel for only one month free not three as they originally quoted. The visa cards, when you received them please forward them to my home. Direct TV terms and conditions are false. Please do not get caught like i did.

contract
I have been a custmer of direct tv for three years. Im switching to a new service and when i called i was told i would be paying for breaking my contract early. I asked why i would be paying for breaking my contract when i signed up for a two year service in 2008 and it is now 2011. They told me last year when there DVR broke and they sent me a new one. They renewed my contract for a year without telling me. So beware when there stuff breaks and they fix they renew your contract for another year.

No one has helped me after hrs. on the phone.
I am so unhappy with dtv. I just had a tv hooked up for my disabled son and the receiver doesn't work correctly. It records shows not for a child and keeps going to a channel I had never seen before (activate). I am paying for something that we are not getting and have spoken to 3 people and been on the phone for hours! This is ridiculous and I have been a customer since direct tv started (when on a trip and with a son housewatching, he switched it to dish). I should never have switched it back to direct tv. I even had one rep. from dtv tell me I couldn't get a new receiver because you would lose money. Well, I am not paying for something we cannot get. I am the only adult in the household and the only one that uses the remote. please help us; thank you.

Misinformation to get a sale on product
My complaint on Direct is misinformed on their product. I called to inquire of the packages on the and I was told that I will recieve my east and west coast packages. I'm upset because upon installing my direct tv the installers broke the other companies equipment that i'm to return and then was told i was not elible to get the east and west coast chanels that is 10 chanels I would be loosing chanels I had with the other company. I called to speak to a manager no response stating I have to write a letter. Then a customer care Representative by the name of Teresa called me. Stating she will have a installer at my home schedule for the next day from 8:00am to 12:oo no one showed-up . And when the installer called me he was rude, I'm upset due to all the kaos that has occur with this company. Please to save other soon to be customers from this companies maheim. Nothing at all for all this inconvience.

Loss of cable last three days
Loss of satelite over certain periods of time during the last three days for a
total of twenty or more hours of cable service. (1.) Feb. 2nd, 6:00 P.M-
? C.S.T.; (2.)Feb. 3rd, 11:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., C.S.T.; and (3.) Feb. 4th, 11:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., C.S.T. In between, the reception is good.
We had a large snow storm this week but I have ceased to believe that this accounts for the loss of service. I think you are just "dinking" with the service without any notification to me. Now I am "dinked!!!" I pay too much for the service to be treated as such.

Unauthorized charged to debit card
I have just had an unauthorized debit charge to my account by Direct TV. I have made several attempts to reasonably resovle this situation but no help. This has got to be the most unreasonable and unwilling company i have ever dealt with and I just wonder how they are allowed to do this kind of thing. My bill was $378.00 and they took $822.00. Now i am at there mercy and can only hope they will return the remained when they recieve there equipment. They have completely drained my account and any payments previously made will surely find insuffiant funds.

not honoring contract
They said the deal we agreed on was not valid. I did not use the initial "vouchers" Said they sent the information via e-mail (which was not my address) and said they sent the info in the mail which I did not receive. So they are charging me the full monthly payment, instead of the $19.95 we had agreed on. When I finally told them to get their stuff out of my house, they said they would send me a box with complete instructions on what to send them. This was a month ago and like the vouchers I have not received it. I paid my $19.95 every month but they still say I owe them the full amount. I have not complied with their wishes, and they will not talk to me reasonably. This deal was made with our phone company and I just found out that they initially pay the fee to Direct TV. The phone company is being very patient and understand the dilema. thank you, Judie Corcoran
