Direct TV has the worst service you can imagine? I totally agree.
In attempting to get a refund for a mistake they obviously made, I was told to write their complaint department, and I did. The dispute was because I cancelled my service on Aug. 6, 2007 because they have record that I asked for refund on the credit left on my account after switching to Comcast July 3, 2007. I had previously talked to them on Aug. 1, 2007, asking for a bundle package, which included the internet, They were unable to provide this and referred me to an outside service. I checked with that service and called them back to say I had switched to Comcast and would not need their service. In June and July 2008 I ws sent abill saying I owd them for 2 months and to ad to the horror I realized they had been still automatically deducting $80.52 from my check ing account for months.
When I complained they sent me a bill for none returned equipment. I told them until they give me my refund there will not be an exchange. When customer service was asked about 5 times on Nov 11 . 2008 why I was not given a refund they kept saying because your sevice was suspended, so we automatically restarted your service in January 2008. I was not given notice of the restart. As told to me by Antonio, a service rep, on 11/11, I had called in requesting a refund of the creit of $80.52 on Aug. 6, 2007 and he referred me to cancellation service. When I asked Becky what their response was, she kept saying your service ws suspended.Ikept asking her to spek to her supervisor and she hung up in my face.
