Not honoring prices quoted
I bundled my already in place internet service with Direct Tv through Qwest Communications. I spent a week going back and forth with the agent from Qwest to make sure I got everything correct. He quoted me $34.99/mo plus $5.00 for an extra receiver. The first one was free. I asked about bundling my internet with it and he said that would be a credit of $5.00/mo. and he could get it for me for $14.99/mo with the first six months free. He said the contract was 2 years. I asked how long the $14.99 for internet was good for and he said until I changed the internet order. I even had him send me an email stating the above, which after a few days, he did. When I got into the service for a couple of months, nothing was the same as quoted. There was a protection charge of $5.99 for their equipment, which Thank God I had because I went through six receivers before I got one to work more than a month. The installation was poor and I ended up with three extra holes drilled in my floor because the installer didn't pay attention to things. I am paying $66.98/mo for TV with all the "discounts" and and still paying the $36.99/mo thru Qwest for Internet. This was in June 2009 and I am still arguing with them about not honoring what their agent quoted me. I misplaced the email he sent me and they couldn't find one of the many recorded conversations we had over the week. I hate the programs I get. Half of them are infommercials. I also lost my job in Sept. but do you think they care. Never again will I do business with DirectTV.
