charging me for service they cant provided
The apartment complex that I have moved to does not allow satellite dish because there is nowhere to put it. There is no yard private balcony or patio for a dish to go.
Therefore, DirecTV cannot provide service to me, I should not have to pay for something that cannot be provided to me.
I was told by DirecTV that that was too bad I signed a two year contract and that I would have to pay an early cancellation fee in the amount of $320.00.
I didn’t cancellation anything I would still like to have service.
I requested that a representative from DirecTV to contact the apartment complex I live in and see if there was some way that it could be installed.
The representative told me no that was not there job and hung up on me.
I move to Knoxville to be closer to my mother because she was in a nursing home there.
She passed away on February 13, 2011.
I sent a letter to Mr. Chase Carey, President & CEO of Direct Tv explaining the situation and I received a letter from him that said I signed a contract and therefore I owe them the cancellation fee.
I did not cancel anything, direct TV cannot provide service to me so who cancelled what?

Service and billing
Directtv wont give me address or boxes to send their equipment back but they still bill me. Im not gonna pay for these boxes when they make it impossible to send them back. I dont want them and definitely dont want any memory of having anything to do with these crooks. The Directtv service is horrible. If the wind blows too hard you dont have any cable. I will continue to tell anyone that will listen not to get anything from these guys.

Billing
Paid past due amounts online as stated on my statement, my current bill is not due until 02/24, today is 02/22, only 2 days away but its not due. DirectTV rep told me I have to pay to restore TV. Its not a reconnect fee it's a current bill, Escalated the call and the supervisor insisted the same, No matter how many times DirectTV is down because of weather or any other problem they do not refund for TV that can not be viewed. my balance is $62.01 again not DUE until 02/22. When I asked for addtl #'s to file a complaint the supervisor told me they dont have them so I had to look them up online. I then email the call center Manager Jeff Webb and CC: the CEO Mike Mike in on the email. however I have to wait 24 hours for a response and 24 hours with no TV, Is DirectTV going to refund the days I can not watch TV?

they always charging me 3hundred dollars a month and then they shut u off anyways now they say i owe them for movies back in 2009 so i told them to shut it off they are crooks i went to time warner cable i get three things for the price of one

Installation
DirecTV ruined my Mom's Christmas present. Her acct# is 76322534. Her name is Sandy Lamberson. Somehow, she was suckered into a 2 yr contract with this horrible company. The installer has a hole in her ceiling with wires hanging down, she doesn't have the channels she is paying for, she cannot work the TV and DVR. They have no customer service so no one to talk to in order to resolve. They need to send someone (competent) to her house to (1) fix the ceiling (2) fix the TV (3) get the channels working (4) show her how to use the TV/channels. NO EXCUSES. JUST FIX IT.

No Signal
12-16-10 we had snow today that ended at 12 noon. I get home from work at about 4:30 and have no Direct tv signal. I do all the typical routine to get the signal back and cannot get it back! So I call once and only get to a computer and they lead me through the steps I have already tried. So i call back after I get the kids fed, etc. I talk to a lady who tells me the cable from the dish is unplugged somewhere. I go to all three receivers and nothing is unplugged. The TV worked when I went to work and nobody was home all day. It started to lightly rain about 12 noon to 3pm. When I got home the temperature was 38-39 degrees. So the rain was not freezing. After listening with the computer I went up to the dish and cleared it of any snow/ice. I call back and talk to a lady who didn't help so I asked that a service technician come out to fix the issue. She said she could not do that because of the weather. I told her it didn't matter what day, i'll take the appointment next week. Finally I asked her for her supervisor and she put me through to a guy named Brandon who identified himself (i have his employee # if anyone wants to see it). He told me if the problem was from noon on why was I just calling at 6:30 or so? I told him I called earlier when I got home from work and what did it matter what time I called? He said that it was reading 31 degrees and that the rain is freezing so I informed him that at 4:30 it was above freezing so the freezing rain does not hold water in this case (and I cleaned off the dish!). I asked him if I could schedule a technician (not today, in the next couple of weeks) and he told me no that they reserve technician visits for customers who have real issues! so I ask for his supervisor and he rattles off like 10 different names (Ralston, Chris, Ulysses, etc., etc.) but would not connect me to any of them! Amazingly the minute I hung up the phone with this jerk the Direct tv signal comes back. Coincidence? Don't think so... AWFUL customer service and the supervisor was 10x worse than the initial agent.

unauthorized charges/customer services
We have had DIRECTV for a while now, got behind on bills and we were disconnected. My husband had spoken to representatives multiple times and they disconnected us anyway. The representatives do not document calls; they are rude and rarely understand/speak English. We have been on hold more than we actually speak to anyone. When we get no where with a representative, we ask for a supervisor only to be put on hold again, then when THEY are done talking to you or listening, they ACCIDENTLY hang up on you, and then you have to start from the beginning again. DirecTV took out over 400.00 from our checking account because the contract states they can do that without prior authorization, the contract is their authorization. We were told last week after several call, several disconnects that a refund would be given 3-5 business days. I called back today and after an hour of mostly on hold, talking to a representative, supervisor and a manager - I was told that a reversal will take 3-5 days but a refund could take 6 to 8 weeks. I was told that the supervisor on the previous call (Monday) never processed the claim, and therefore the reversal was being placed today and could take the 3-5 business days and then another 6-8 weeks on top of that. While I was questioning how I was suppose to pay my other bills that are due or past due, the manager disconnected me. Their customer services SUCKS and if I had other choices without being penalized anymore, I would go with another company. They lie, they steal and they give POOR customer service!

Picture and billing
I have had direct tv not quite a year now I am so frustred with this company. I have spent several hours on the phone almost every month I had problems since the very beginning First my tv would go out everythime it was overcast it did not even need to be raining I would call and spend over an hour on the phone with someone who would tell to push this do that it would temperally fix the problem until the overcast would come againg. Then after the month I recieved my bill it has never been the same I would spend more time on the phone with billing. They would tell me it was taken care of but every month it has been different I have sent several email to the company getting no where. The last straw has been this month after calling them every month they finally sent someone out to my house in sept to see if the problem of my tv go out could be fixed they replaced the box and also something on the dish also the 2 service guys could not tell me what they had done because they could not speak english and I could not speak there language. Finally I got one of them to give me a copy of what they did after call dirct tv and haveing someone trans late. Well I thought that would be the end of all my problems until I reviced my bill this month which is now November. and there was a charge on there for 49.95 for the service charge for them to come out and fix there defaulty equimpent I called direct tv right away and revieved nothing but the run around the one qentlemen David tells me because I didnt have some insurance thats why I was being charged how can this be I said It is your equipment that has been defaulty and the response was pretty much thats the way it is. I have never in all my life had a problem with a company that promises something and has no way stood up to there agreement. I will be going back to comcast I had it for 15 years before I swithed and regret every changing. To anyone out there stick with comcast or go to dish I am sure you will most liking get better customer service. I hope no one else has to go through what I have been through for the last 10 months because it is frustrating and you get now where.

Leaderboard
I score over 112.000 on 5 card slingo toke second place then can back about 8hours later an score over 98.000 the lowest score was a little over 91.000 why wasn't I put on leaderboard I also should have been in ninth place also . So you saying that you can"t be on leaderboard twice that"s bull hard as it is to get a high score if you score high no matter how many time to make leaderboard you should be place on it.
