dvr early term. fees
To start with I had one of the most expensive srvices you could get with direct.v. and decided I wanted to go back to my old package of 50 dollars a month, when I called to drop my package down they only gave me 2 options and that was to keep what I had (which was about 180 dollars a monthy)or a 30 dollar package. They said that they could go back to my old package(which had your basic setup of about 70 channels with no movie channels) because they no longer offered it.I of course opt. for the 30 dollar one but what I didnt know was I wouldn't have any channels all I pretty much got was kids channels (a couple of disney and nickol.) the rest was shopping channels I didn't recieve any basic channels like tbs or tnt .Well needless to say I went about 2 months without really watching any T.V. as a matter a fact it only got turned on to check the local weather and news.Happily Time Warner cable has finally became avaliable, this is when it gets interesting, i of course cancelled and went with cable (which for 50 bucks i get 200 channels including hd and on demand in one room and 80 channels in the rest and have been very happy with their service and reliability)I UNKNOWINLY RECIEVED A LETTER FROM DIRECTV SAYING I OWNED THEM ABOUT 700 DOLLARS FOR THE 2 DVR RECIEVERS I USED.WHAT I WASNT TOLD WAS WHEN THE CROOKED (OR UNINFORMED)PRIVATE INSTALLERS THAT WERE CONTRACTED THROUGH DIRECTV PUT IN MY DVR RECIEVERS THEY MADE ME SIGHN A PAPER THAT THEY SAID WAS JUST STATING THEY COMPLETED THE JOB THAT I WANTED DONE WHEN IN FACT I WAS SIGNING A CONTRACT FOR THE DVR RECEIVERS I WAS USING. EVEN THOUGH I WASN'T USING THEIR SERVICE ANYMORE I STILL HAD TO PAY THE RECEIVER FEE FOR THE REST OF 2 YEARS. THIS IS WHAT I CALL A RIPOFF . THEY NEED TO TAKE THE TIME AND EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT YOU ARE SIGHNING INSTEAD OF LYING OR MISINFORMING YOU. SORRY TO SAY THAT IT IS MY OWN FAULT FOR SIGHNING SOMETHING THA I DIDN'T READ FIRST AND NOW IM STUCK FOOTING THE BILL. THERES ONE THING ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION I WILL N E V E R GO BACK TO DIRECTV NOT EVER IF IT WAS MY LAST OPTION AND I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE ELSE TO STAY AWAY!!! ON TOP OF ALL THAT WHEN I CALL DIRECTV I THINK IM CALLING OVER SEES BECAUSE I CANNOT UNDERSTAND A SINGLE WORD THAT THAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SAYING WHATS THE POINT IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU CANT UNDERSTAND
