i received an email about a disaster kit. The cost was $3.99 +$1.00, i thought this was a good deal.
The problem is that the product that they send you, are all items that you can purchase at the 99 Cent stores.
I thought that they was only a one time cost, but on 1-5-10 this company took out another $95.00 because they told me it was a trail period. You have 14 days for trial period but it starts the day you order. Okay, my kit was not sent out until 12-23-09 i ordered the kit, on 12-16-09, 8 days passed of a trail period of not even seeing the product. so i still have 6 days of a trail period left and still no product for trail period to decide if i want it or not. product was sent on 12-23-09 and i received on 1-6-10. Now we are at 12-29-09, 12-30-09 trail period expires, I receive package on 1-5-09 and they take $95.00 on 1-6-10, and tell me i should have cancled before my trail period ended. I dont get their theory, i should start my trail period when product is received, not the day i order it. I havent had a chance to see the product. After receiving the product, i checked the website and they show a whole different disaster kit that is not at all what they send to you. I told them i wanted my money back and they replied telling me to go to there [email protected] email and leave them an email and they will contact me within twenty four hours. I took the kit to a 99 cent store that a friend owns and he was able to pull up the same products i have in my kit, through his catalog for his store everthing in the kit was $1.00 a pice. it tells you that you get 57 items. true but they fail to tell you that 37 of those items are in a first aid kit that has alcohol wipes, bandaids, etc. Nothing big the kit will fit in my shirt pocket. These peoples are reall assholes. Sorry, i tell it like it is. i contacted Investagations with KTLA Tv and they are going to check into the scam.
