damage to home
three months ago we decided to switch from time warner to dishnetwork, only because the cost of time warner kept going up. on march 1st josh from digital dish of millersburg came to do the installation, and spent the first 45 minutes convincing us to stay with time warner because the service was better. he stated he worked for all three company's and had my wife call time warner while he was there to see if they would give a better deal, stating when a customer calls with an installer there they make some pretty sweet deals. lets see where should i begin? 1. installed a receiver exactly where i told him i didn't want it, smack dab on the front of the house. 2. crushed my gutters with his ladder. 3. had foot marks all the way up the siding from his feet. 4. drilled 13 additional holes in the siding????? that had absolutely nothing to do with the installation. 5. drilled vertically through a floor joist to run the cable to a room. 6. had cables hanging everywhere. 7. left his trash everywhere he worked. we had a senior field tech come out to note the damage and he stated it was a poor installation, nothing was done correctly. i contacted dish network about the damage and all they were concerned about was the cancellation fee if i disconnect. so i cancelled and filed a complaint with the better business bureau, within two weeks a lady from dishnetwork contacted me and said they were going to waive the cancellation fee and send boxes to pick up the equipment. i had two estimates for the damage at $9870 and one for $14500, when i contacted dishnetwork about the damge ben from digital dish started calling, nothing like passing the buck. it has been almost two months and ben keeps calling stating i refuse to send the estimates. i informed ben that until we are in agreement as to the damage i won't be sending any estimates. i also asked for a copy of the contract with took several weeks to finally conjure up and lo and behold the installer forged my signatures, yes you heard it correctly...FORGED MY SIGNATURES! i believe that is a criminal offense. when i contacted the better business burea they said i should contact the attorney generals office in ohio and also let the local police know of the situation to pursue charges. as much as i would love to stick it to dish network and digital dish of millersburg all i want is to get this behind me and get my home fixed. i also spoke to jesus from dishnetwork and he assured me we would get this resolved, again guess who starts calling again...ben from digital dish of millersburg. gosh are these guys great at passing the buck. i told jesus and ben that if they would like to settle this in a court of law to let me know and i would be in touch with my attorney. today i spoke with ben from digital dish of millersburg and he assured me the won't be paying $9870 in damges and when i asked if he had the authority to make that decision he said yes, i then asked if he had spoken to the owner jerry anderson and he said no. apparently ben didn't talk to the correct individuals. i asked for jerrys # and ben all of a sudden got amnesia and couldn't remember when he would be in, i told ben to have jerry call me or set up a meeting where i can meet with him face to face and get this resolved. let's see how long it will take for jerry to pick up the phone. any one considering dishnetwork think again, the only person that had a true understanding of the whole situation even before any of this happend was the one person responsible for all the damage...the installer...should have listened to him.
