Charged 49.95 to my bankaccount
On Dec. 20, 09 I orderedDish Network services and after 2+ hours the Tech in training informed his co-worker that I would be unable to have service. A tree on the vacant lot next door was in direct path of the signal. I could however pay to have it mounted in the ground for an additional fee (approximately $90). While reviewing my bank e-statement I realized that the companyInfinity Dish had charged me $49.95 anticipating me receiving services. The problem is that I did not have the services connected some 2o + days ago andInfinity Dish has not credited my $49.95 back to me. I made calls toDish Network at 888-445-0084 who informed me that I needed to contact theInfinity Dish 866-659-3474 and 561-665-4310 in order to get the refund. The person at that number gave more numbers which were disconnected 626-844-3061 and 800-784-7696. My next choice is to contactDish Network, my bank & BBB to to file a complaint.

Misleading Packaging
Dishnet work is a rip off, I orders a pakage from them, I was suppose to get 3 months free HBO and Cinnimax which I never got, but after 3 months programs started to disappear.. when I called they told me they were only free for 3 months, yet they never told me I was getting any free stations when I was writing out the check. I will never recommend them to any one and will discourage every one I know to drop them when there contracts are up.
They are not honest and forthright... stay as far away from this company as you can get.

No customer service
The dish network installer scrached my wood floor during installation, but did not bother to tell me. Then he cut the coaxial cable wire so short, that my tv has to sit sideways on the tv stand, so the tv can be connected to the receiver box. Then it goes out even with the thought of rain looks eminent. The customer service channel said to call to see if their was something Dish Network could do to rectify the situation with it going out so frequently. When I called and started to explain the situation, the customer service representative hung up on me.

Customer Service?
I currenly have Dish Network as part of a bundle with AT&T -- their online chat is worthless - all they do is end up referring you to call them (why even have online chat customer service then!) -- They do NOT respond to e-mail requests in a timely manner -- When you do call them, it takes them forever to answer the phone, they end up transferring you all over the place - when you have a bundled account you cannot access your programming etc. online to order pay-per-view - they get bitchy when you don't have a phone line connected to the receiver (my phone line to where the receiver is located died and is very expensive to repair) They jut don't listen! They claim to have superior customer service - according to whom? I filed a complaint with the BBB (noticed they have several thousand complaints with only a fraction resolved) I just want them out of my house! They prey on people who live in areas that don't have decent cable TV. Had dish in the past, switched to Direct TV (a bit better in my opinion) -- someone just needs to teach these people what customer service is, and they really should give their subscribers the same options regardless of how they are billed! WAKE UP DISH NETWORK --THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!

being scammed
i told rep, i did not want a 2 year contract, so they hooked dish and box, and told me i had to sign paperwork to verify, they hooked it up, but come to find out they said, i sign contract, ---they fooled people need to read fine print????i called office, the man was rude, also was told that, i could not talk to his supervisor, , , so i call main office, and talked to monica, she said that i could not talk to her boss, because he does not take phone calls, so i asked if i could get copy of contract, she said it would take 10 to 15 days, but by that time your long over due on your bill, , , so they got me over a barrel, the only thing left to do is take them to court, , , , , , , , , , , HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THEY DONE THIS TO...???????????

no service, I still pay
I recently moved 4 blocks before the completion of a 24 month contract. Dish Network is unable to provide me with service. According to the Tech that they sent to move my service, he was unable to aim the dish at the only available sattelite. Dish Network is telling me that I am still required to pay them per my contract. They have stated that they are not required to provide service. My other option is to cancel my contract and pay them a heftly cancellation fee.

Liars and cheaters
I cancelled my Dish Network service in July 2006. I sent back the receivers in the box provided for me. Today, I found out (a year later), they charged me for them. When I had first received the notice last year, I just assumed they had not processed the receivers. However, today I found out they had received one of the two receivers in the same box and had charged me for the second one. After an hour of talking to different departments, I found myself being told that they would try to resolve this issue to my satisfaction within the week. The only way it will be solved is if they miraculously discover the other receiver and remove that huge charge off of my credit. I don't know why it will take a week to find it when they haven't been able to find it for a year.

Worst company ever
Dish Network is the pits!!! I was a sub-contractor install tech for these guys and I have been a electronic tech for 25 years (not to brag but if it has wires I'm good at fixin it). On several instances I have called Dealer tech support for assistance and was told " ...we don't know why it is doing that" on problems on new systems. Also there are 2 different models of receivers that have several problems that cause poor reception; one is the 625 dual tuner DVR and the 511 series HD dual tuner DVR both have problems that Dish sez they won't RA the equipment, so the customer is stuck with a monthly charge and piss poor reception.

Liar
I was an employee for Dish Network selling these Satelites door to door during the summer of 2002 In a town of Dubois Idaho I had 5 Sales and 4 of them backed out because My boss promised me that he would set up appointments for installers to come and he kept putting it off.
If someone backed out of a contract they would charge me the commission that I made plus an addintional service fee and the same amount plus the cost of the equipment not returned by my customers. I ended up losing money because of gas and cell phone about cell phones don't get sprint they have really poor coverage.

Stay away
I was using their service for few years, and when I decide to cancel my service I realize I am dealing with bunch of liars and thieves. I called and they said and confirm that my service it’s been canceled, even they gave me a confirmation number. After three months, I realize that they still charging my credit card, when I call them they said no I never cancel my service, I said I have confirmation number for it, LOL they said confirmation number is meaning less (what a joke). So basically all of sadden I was the layer. Just word of advice stay away from them.
