Child connection not working properly
Dear Sir,
I am using dish tv since last 3 to 4 years, i am facing many problem regarding complaint of dish tv customer care.
I have 1 + 2 dish tv connection at my house, recently i have recharge my 3 dish tv 1 parent and 2 child for Rs 1800.00 on 1st of July 2009 through customer care centre. i have opted for full package recharge. i have been told that my all three connection will get full channels as i was getting it previously also with my recharge. after 6 hours my dish tv has been updated but one child connection does'nt get star packeges, no sports channels and many more channel is not comming. i again call customer care for complaint on 2nd july the lady has taken my complaint and told me that i have updated your account and also refresh the channel also now you will get all your channels. my customer complaint no was given to me was 24380800. but i had got no result.
again i have call customer care on 4th july today at Ahmedabad customer guy call Mohan told me that you had no complaint with us i have told him the No also but he say there is no such complaint. then i had told him my problem that my one child VC is not getting certain channels, he told me that you will not get the channel and you have to pay for that channel. No child VC will get these channel. then i told him that i m getting it on another Child VC and i was getting the full channels since last so many times, he told me that i could be some company mistake that you gets the full channels,
Dear sir please help me what to do, each time i call custormer care there is some new guy and they say new story every time.

regarding customer care executive.
sorry to inform u but i have faced a problem regarding ur services ur customer care executive----anupam has given me a wrong committment . i ask her to activate my al--carte -pack n 27/feb-2009, , she said ok sir and after till 2 monthe has passed but my pack was'nt activated.so plz kindly take some action against her..

no rebate as advertised
i went on line to see about dish tv service and they had an ad running that said 9.99 a month for 100 chanels with a $300.00 dollar rebate for your food and gas for the next three months. it also said free stars movic channel for one year for one penny and up to 4 tvs for free. when i went to get my rebate they said go to this web site and you will get it that you qulify. i went to the web site that they told me to go to and it said that to get my rebate i had to order silver or above. it never said anything in the add about this. also now they are chaging me for stars they said i had to auto bill pay to recive this. another thing that was not in their add. i paid my penny for the year free but i am still charged $5.00 a month for the service that i was suppose to get for a year for a penny. they also are charging me for a dvr that i did not get and a second tv witch was supose to be free. on top of all of that they are charging me for local channels that i do not recive and out of the 100 channels that i got for the 9.99 pluse a month which was only suppose to be 9.99 half are food channles or shopping chanles there is nothing to watch but the paid channels. to top it all off when i called them back and asked for my rebate they told me that they where not responsable for the add that a marketing company was doing it for them. i tell you this if you advertise something in your name and then tell me your not responsable for it it is fraud. also in the add it did not say anthing about a two year contract. but after they came and spent two hours installing a dish on my house and setting up my service the last thing they made me sign is a two year contract. now i don't want there service any more i can get a better deal with cable for less money with real channles that i will watch. what can i do?

This company is cheating the customers. Every now and then they are demanding extra payments for different channels for which I have not demanded or they are demanding extra money for already subscribed channels. Today there are three of their transponders are not working, thus many channels which I view are not available. If one tries to phone there is lot of time wasted on liostening to the waiting music on their phone of call center. The local distributor is not ready to help either. It is a money fleecing business. Many a times their transponders are not working; if that so occurs they should publically admit before the customers and refund the money if they are genuine people.
I wish something concrete should be done to correct this.

Cancellation
Well, Dish TV was not a good deal for me. I bought a bundled package with AT&T; it was sold as a bundle but if you have any questions AT&T will refer you to Dish and vice versa. In my case, AT&T botched the DSL installation and could not get it straight in a reasonable amount of time; I lost work over that debacle and I had to return to Cable to get internet access (and I work at home and need it to do that). I gave AT&T a chance to make it right and they decided that they would rather loose the business than send someone out to do what the first installer failed to do (that being to simply install it and make sure that it worked). I cancelled DSL which was no problem but AT&T left me high and dry with Dish.
I should say too that the Dish TV installer botched up his installation as well, we did not get all of the channels, he put the DVRs in the wrong locations, when we tried to use it was incapable of sustaining a connection and the interruptions of service were frequent and annoying to the point of making unpleasant to watch TV.
I cancelled the contract and given the manner in which everything was handled, I did not see why I should be billed anything since nothing ever worked correctly and I'd lost enough work already not that they cared about that. When I called customer service the first time they were very rude; getting a manager on the line only afforded me the opportunity to speak with someone who was even more rude than the first person. After getting help from AT&T, that was all supposed to be cleared up. Today I got a bill for the cancellation (for the services that never worked) and in spite of what I read here about the $240 cancellation fee, I was actually billed $328 in cancellation fees and the itemized statement did not list any equipment costs of services, it was just a list of numbers with prices next to them and none of it made any sense to me.
As for customer service. When I called them I tried to resolve this and they flatly would not even entertain the notion of dropping the fee. I told them I would like to take them to court to settle it and the only information that Javier (employee ID ZUD) would give me was that they were somewhere in Texas and that was all he could tell me; he would not give me any information on how to file a complaint or take legal action against them. I have found that evasive people and evasive companies such as Dish TV generally have good reason to be; they are crooks.
Dish TV, a huge mistake for me.

about there service monopoly(after becoming the customer)
i have dish tv connection one mother( V.C No. 01504888521) +three child
now what is the problem dish tv changes there plans without any prior information (like i had purchased 2- connection onaun 2008 with this condition that i have to pay Rs 2800/- and will get maxi pack till one year without any charges but dish tv changed it in 4 months without any information, when i tryed to contact on custmor center they said this i company, s policy we cant help u)
today 31/01/2009 dish tv stopped my all channels when i asked they said there is some mistake done by my staff we will rectify this problem in 4 to 24 hours and wa not done till 14 hours
today is saturday i was free to enjoy but -----------
here i would i ask why should i suffer

hardware malfunction
THIS IS JUST CRAZY! IVE BEEN WITH DISH TV FOR 2 YEARS AND MY RECEIVER WAS MAKING A CLICKING NOISE OVER AND OVER AND THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THAT IS NORMAL BULL. I SAID SHUT ME OFF THEN. THIS COMPANY HAS SOME FRUIT LOOPS WORKING FOR THEM.
THEY JUST THRU 1200.00 A YEAR OUT THE WINDOW.
