I have been facing problems with the setup box since the past 6 months.The last 3 times it has been serviced by Dish TV dealers AV Solutions but the same problem has resurfaced.I have paid the service charges the last 3 times.WHY SHLD I PAY THE CHARGES EVERY 2 MNTHS.I HAVE ALEADY LOST A LOT OF MONEY WITH THE SERVICE CHARGES AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BEAR THE CHARGES AGAIN.<br />
I am unhappy with the service provided by DISH TV.Their dealers network is PATHETIC to say the least.I have contacted the dish help line many a time and everytime I am put on hold, and after giving details to the tech, the line gets disc and I need to call in again. I am really FRUSTRATED WITH THE NEVER ENDING PROBLEMS OF DISH TV.

poor service
Dear Sir,

Let me start with my pain points:

1. I am a customer of Dish TV and exploited one.
2. Till you system works, its great but any extraordinary requriement/request is a pain. e.g ordering MOD
3. You technical service is "Horrible", "Pathetic " in all sense.
4. You customer care team, has only pre-prescribed statements to answer to customer and even some time don't know how to talk.
5. When they transfer their call to their seniors, seniors behave in funny manner...they pick up phone and say that they are not able to hear properly. this happened multiple times and happened today on 24.10.2009 at 3.35 PM when i called for an outstanding complaint (due since 10.Oct 2009). He (Sriram) pretended that that they are not able to hear while the first person (Manish) who received the call had clear communication.


I have this connection since May 2008. Whenever i have to call your customer care number 18601803474, it has been extremely horrible experience. Whenever i ordered Movie on Demand (MOD) it gets affected after 24 Hrs.

Recently i paid subscription for one year (valid till Oct 2010- biggest mistake ) and every day-
1. I switch on my TV i have to read the message "renew your subscription to avail the service" for few minutes and then it goes off, of its own.
2. Dish TV BOX behave erratically some times, it shows messge that check your VC card.
3. Some time TV has no signal from DISH TV Box.

I have complaint for this on 10 Oct 2009, repeated on 14/15 Oct 2009 as no one could attend this complaint. Later on i again complaint on 16th/17th/18th and 19th Oct 2009 as no one turned up. I have to live with the POOR performance of DISH TV. Every time i called i was asked to do some drills like switch on /off set top box, remove cable, insert cable and remove/insert card. but problem could not be solved. Once a suggestion was given to do all these things every day (funny technical advise).

Later on 21st Oct 2009, a guy came home and he had some other drill to do i.e. check signal...and he did some thing and went off. I got sms that complaint is resolved. However to my expectation, it was no change.

I complaint again on 22nd Oct 2009, 23.oct 2009 was told that after doing all above drills that technician will visit within 6 working hours. (However defination of working hours is not known to any one). Today (24.Oct 2009), i got an SMS that mr. Mayur will visit me at 12.00 PM on 24.10.2009 and a number was given. After waiting for hours i called on the number given in SMS and was told that the complaint is there, but technician will not come for next two days and was also told that such SMS'es are usual.

It took 12 days for Dish TV to send a technician who could not solve problem...what a customer service.

when i call the Dish TV customer care, i was told that technician wll visit me within 6 hours from 9.30 AM. The person on customer care was not even aware that 6 hours have passed by (as i called at 3.33 PM).. on my query to confirm till when the working hours will last the person has no answer, he even mentioned that technical department can only confirm and he has no clue. Then he transeferred this call to his senior (Mr. Shriram), who pretended that voice is not clear and tried to handup the phone..

I am fed up of calling this customer care of DishTV as they have standard answers:

1. Aapko batana chaunga.
2. Set of drills as mentioned above.
3. No specific commitment and confidence in resolution.

To summarize, i am fed up of PATHETIC Service of DISH TV...and request you to please let me know, when this problem can be solved. I am going to again call today at 8.30 PM, if technician does not come. But i am sure that my problem will not be resolved.

Audio sound comes & goes
I purchased DISH TV in January this year and I REQUEST EVERY ONE NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR YOUR HOMES. From the day one I purchased I am facing very poor service, frequent Tariff changes, channel changes, etc. But now from the last 4 months I am facing serious problem that Audio signal of DISH TV goes off and comes on after 10 or 15 minutes and it repeats again after 5 minutes. Inspite of I gave complaint to the company customer care, there is no solution. I feel that I have been cheated by buying DISH TV connection for my home. I am available on mobile no. 9241721230. I request respective company should take immediate action to correct my problem.

POOR SERVICE OVERALL..NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING
what a mess! its been trouble all along since the time i chose dish tv...payments made online was not reflecting at their end, was asked to pay again, had to call more than 10 times to get every issue resolved, this time even worse.., spoke with more than 10 advisor and more than 2 supervisor, do not know..what for they work, some time gives me a feeling that they are work for a charity...

cable tv is to relax...but here its making me mad...

PATHETIC SERVICE
I have been a dish tv subscriber since the last 5 years.I have 2 connections-parent and child.While I have not had a sinle proble to date with the parent connection, there always seem to be some or the other problem with the child connection.
I have the child connection since the past 1.5 yrs.The current problem is, I am not getting dish tv signals since the past 1.5 months.A technician came and checked everything, took Rs.170 as service charges.This technician was from AV Solutions, Bangalore, a dealer of Dish tv supposedly.I watched tv for a day and again the same problem with the message"Contact dish tv".I contacted the dealer again, AV Solutions a number of times, even personally went to their office to sort out my problem.Till today, no technician has turned up and my connection is lying waste since 1.5 months. I have even contacted your call centre but to no avail.I am put on hold for long hours with no solution.
I am terribly exhausted and frustrated with my experience.PLS GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM.I want to lodge a complaint against the dealer AV Solutions.
Earlier(last year) the recharge amount taken from me was not paid by them to dish tv.I started getting reminders from dish tv for non payment.Finally when I contacted the dealer, he said he would pay online immediately.I even registered a complaint against them with your call centre but was of no use.AV Solutions is tarnishing the image of dish tv.

Problems, problems, problems
I dread anytime I have to deal with DISH TV on anything, weather it be an upgrade or a service problem. Today's problem is upgrading my existing service. They want me to change my day all around, take time off to be here for a service person. They tell me between 8AM and 12 noon the person will arrive. I get a call at 9AM from this person who is still in his office 200 miles away! Trying his best to speak English, he wants to know how to get here. This is not right, there are DISH TV dealers all over town here and they send a man 200 miles! No wonder this stuff is so expensive. The last issue was another upgrade, this man they sent from another state! He couldn't get the unit to work right, so 5 service calls later, 5 days I had to take off, they figure out it's a bad box they had just installed! Not an appology one, nothing. I could go on and on about this poor service. All they want is that check every month, try being late with it. I've been asked, why not try someone else. Good question; but every upgrade or change they "lock" you in for 24 months. They must do this because they know from experience they are going to have an unhappy customer once they see how things are going to go. Believe me, use this service only if you have no other choice and then think hard because this abuse is common and they don't care.

I'd like to know who voted this outfit #1 in customer satisfaction, I know I wasn't asked to vote. I can honestly say I dispise this company and if my family wasn't so into TV, their equipment would be in a dumpster.
