worst custmer support and management
Dishnet is the worst and not sure how they gonna do business.
They harrassed me with so many things.
1) Initially they promised that moving is free from one place and another, then after i moved and reinstallation they charged me $100 .I fought with them telling the representative no: 105 and 405 confirmed me the free move, but the ignored me and not ready to refund.
2) Also they increased my International channel amount without informing me within 1 month after subscription and even thou we are in contract with fixed fee for 24 months. They promised fixed price but when asked they say nothing and put blame on some internaltional contract.
3) they promised to fix in my apartment with some equipment and the installation person did not come with that, next time when i called them to fix it, they say it will charged again for next visit, but its the installation person mistake.
4)The customer servcie is worst, they dont bother anything to answer, they keep repeating and threaten you with the contract breakage fee..how long they gonna do...with this issues people wont mind to pay the break fee...they will end up with no customers atall
5)People be-aware of the 3 months HBO free stuff..dishnet is Thief and they are the international frauds .
I never experienced anywhere worst like dishnet service.
I lost $650 because of their stupid Custmer support lies
They have worst of everything.
I request noone should subscribe for dishnet ever.

New bizarre charges
The DISHNet bill reveals amazing charges they never tell you about. These people have gone mad. Are they fighting off bankruptcy? Is someone skimming the profits? In addition to substantial charges for the channels we subscribe to, there are these additional monthly charges, with a new one added every few months:
"Solo receiver" (new name) for each converter box $5 (HD box $7)
DVR Service $5.98 (not honest enough to say $6)
Failure to have a land line telephone connected to your box $5 (really!)
"Protection plan" for voodoo economics service discount $5.99 (not $6)
HD enabling fee for NOT subscribing to HD programming $5 (really)
"Service Access Fee" to allow you to buy specialty programming $6 (what in hell is that?)
PLUS 1-time "Transaction fees" to make account changes, to wit:
$5 to remove programming
$5 to order a PPV (+ the PPV charge!)
$5 to pay your bill by credit card
$9.99 to pay your bill by phone, (not $10, oh no)
$10 to remove adult programming
I dug into this when I contemplated upping my Classic Gold 250 service to HD, and tried to find out how much that would cost per month. Forget it; that information is available no where. Their attitude is subscribe, pay whatever we ask, and shut up.
And after discovering charges like $5 for NOT subscribing to HD, and $5 for NOT having a landline, I'll be canceling DISHNet. I have Comcast cable. On cable, HD is free, DSR is free, I don't have to buy any equipment, replacements are free if things go bad, and service calls are free.
One other difference: here in central Virginia the Comcast service technicians know what they are doing and are very good - and are free. The DISHNet people (the 5 I've known) are poorly trained tyros with little experience - and cost a bundle to bungle the job.

Added charges!
I think that the Federal communications or attorney general should do an investigation on Dishnet. Like so many others complaints I have seen since I signed up for Dishnet. I too got ripped off big time! When I signed up I was told I could buy the local channels for $8 but found out the news was not local but clear across the country which I have no use for. Then I was never told if you don't have a land phone I would be charged an additional $5. The entire package I thought included the recievers and anything for a price of $49, and was to get a premium channel free for three months. Then they charged me for it for the three months stating they would remove it by the end of that time. Guess what? That never happened! The bill was every month $89! Then when I said enough and took off the premium "free" channel it did go down to $60 but now they claim they are allowed to raise it even though we were to have the same price until 10 months! I canceled after 7 months and they said they were going to take $150 out of my bank account for the remainder of the contract! I told them no they were not and put a stop check on them at the bank. The bank said it wasn't authorized by me so they have no right to take out of the account!
They lied about everything from the beginning! They asked me to have someone go up on the roof and get the little binocular looking thing from the dish and send it back! So I guess I will charge them You got it $150 to do their work!!! Why should I have to retrieve there parts from the dish???
Ripped off one more time in Ohio!

DEBITTING DOUBLE PAYMENT AND RUDE CUSTORMER SERVICE
On 10/01/2007 my bank account was debbitted $286.30 when my bill was only $143.15.I called and asked why my account had been debitted the $286.30 and my bill was only $143.15 And was told that i had given permission to dishnet to debit that amount. I talked to a customer service agent name Patrict and told him that i never gave dishnet permission to debit my account double what was olded. Patrict said that he was sorry and couldn't put the money back into my account after i requested it because the debit had not been posted yet and to call back on 10/02/2007 after the debit has been posted and dishnet would refund me. when i called back on 10/02/2007 and spoke to someone who says His name was Patrict He told me that dishnet couldnot refund the over payment until 7-10 business days. I explained that i need the money back into my account that day as i had never given permission for it to be taken out in the first place and it could cause other checks that i have out to bounce. I was told that he was sorry but policy was refund are given 7-10 business days later. after going through one or two other personal
i was finally told that it was a glich in their computors. I was treated very rudly and with total disrespect from the final represented that i spoke to who said her name was Anveria. she was suppose to be from their CORPRATE OFFICE and gave her phone number as 720-514-7944. this is the worse customer service i have even seen.
