SCREEN VIBRATING AND NOT WORKING PROPERLY
I have purchased Dish TV connection on 18.01.2008 from Madan Lal & Sons @ Rs.4999/- (one year subscription free). After 40-45 days (before 2nd Mar.2008) of purchasing I am noticing transmission of that various channels such as STAR, STAR ONE, SAHARA, ZEE ZAGARAN, SAHARA ONE, INDIATV, ETC are not proper as the screen is vibrating.
We have lodged the complaint a number of times to Madan Lal & sons and also at your service center, Kota (Mr. ML Agrawal, Mangal Radio, Shopping Center). The Customer Service Center charging Rs.150 for every visit for checking the any type of problem and have said that there will be no responsibility if the problem sustains the next day and will again have to pay the sum of Rs.150/- for checking the problem.
Problem regarding vibrating screenfor some channels is still being faced by me as it hasn’t be sort out as yet.

very very Poor customer service
I have regestored a complaint on 5 march and from on ther is no TV network at my home ...I have been calling up the Customer care daily n every day i get a new service centre number which is either not reachable or switched off or does not exisit...and if atall some anws he will inreturn tell to contact the Customer care back..
I sugest pls be happy with ur cable Tv atleast they have a better customer service.

Bad product & service
I have had dshtv dth service for about 2 years. I have faced problems every few months like remote not working , set top box giving shocks ( still does after repairs) , set top box faulty , smart card not working etc. Had to take Tata Sky as the smart card broke down within a month of replacement.
Dish TV agents , call centre & service centres in Bangalore are pathetic and offer no service. The service centre has a huge pile of stb junk.
Have taken them to consumer court.

POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE
MY CONNECTION HAS NOT BEEN WORKING FOR THE PAST 20 DAYS AND THE DEALER BY THE NAME MR BABU K(DEALER ID 35868) OPERATING IN KOTHAGIRI HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY COMPLAINTS AND OFF LATE HAS REFUSED TO ATTEND TO MY CALLS.
DEALERS LIKE HIM SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE AND SHOULD BE BLACKLISTED.

Stay away from DishTV!
Shahrukh khan says "Dishtv hei tau sab Santushth". Why people like him recommend things like Dishtv to the customers and misguide them.
Twice in two months I have faced the problem of "No access " error on all the paid channels. Second time my woes started on 2nd November and since then as a homeopathic medicine all of their customer support engineers telling me the same thing that your channels will be activated in 4-24 hours and tell me to keep the set tune on channel number 550. One of their executive Nalin doesnt even know who is his team lead. Their team lead Nalin promised me that within 30 minutes he will be calling me back.Their so called technical department person Sunil called me up on 4th and said with 10 minutes he will call me back but nobody called me after that.
Till now I talked to sameer, gulfam, sunil (So called from technical department person), naveen and nalin. Its 4thnov night and still the situation is same.
I would never recommend DishTv to any body. Atleast with cable operators you can always reach them easily but to get the things done using dishtv operators is a nightmarish experience.
Better stick to cable operators or check out for Tata Sky.

Can not watch free channels!
When I first subscribed to dish TV, i was offered the choice of free channels and paid channels. I was made to understand that if did not continue to pay for the pay channels, i would be getting only the free channels. Now, they call up and say that since i have not paid up, they are going to block the free channels also within a week. I don't want the pay channels now after the vacation, as the children have to study. Why should i be denied the free channels?

Pathetic service
I still am cursing the Day me and my husband decided to purchase Dish Tv. Its the pathetic and worse ever seen. Its been 6 days now and my dish is not working. Instead of getting any kind of support from the customer service... All I'm getting is false promises the so not true 4-24 hrs deadlines of meeting them... And a whole series of complaint numbers... Every time I called the customer service I was told that somebody will be calling back in 15 minutes... But its been 6 days now and I have not received even a single call... Is this what we call courtesy.
I would never ever recommend DishTV to anyone.

Most ridiculous service
I have moved from Gurgaon to Hyderabad. I am desperately trying to contact DISTV call center for installation. They promised big things like moving is piece of cake etc etc. Now, I talked to them on 1st of March, they said someone will contact me within 24 hours but, no one turned up yet.
I tried the call center number (1860 180 3474 , 1901 180 3474) and no one is picking the call (either it say sorry phone busy or sorry no one is picking up). First time faced situation like this.
After continuously trying for Five days, I called the Noida number (STD for me). Someone pickup the call when I asked him why no one turned up answer was, wee have sent it to dealer they did not come, what can we do?
Huh what can we do means? He then told me he is forwarding my call to senior executive. I waited for 3 minutes no one picked up the phone.
In this duration I have sent them two mails but, did not get any reply. See the mails below. Don't go by the promises this is first hand experience of buying DISHTV and moving with it. It's horrible. I am going to through it and take some cable service or might give a try to TATA SKY.
I am DISh TV subscriber VC number is XXXXXXXX. This is a new connection installed in Gurgaon in October. In December, I was suppose to move out of Gurgaon. That is why I did not make the payment. I was not sure whether I'll continue with DISH TV or not.
Now, I moved to Hyderabad and fixed my mind to continue with DISH TV. I talked to one dealer last week Ravi Electronics, Koti, Hyderabad (Ph - 9885099982). He asked 300 RS for installation. That was surprising, as DISH TV claims 200 for installation and that was the charge in Gurgaon. Here in Hyderabad it seems dealers lobby exists.
I agreed for paying 300 RS, finding no alternate as other dealers also quoted the same amount. Finally after two days, he sent one person who couldn't do the installation because he came without drill machine. By the way, that person was looking like completely untrained person.
Then two days back on 27th Feb 07, I talked to DISH TV customer care center 1860 180 3474. Got the complain number XXXXXXX. I was told within 24 hours engineer will come and install the DISH.
About payment, I told the customer care executive, the moment it gets installed I'll pay for my subscription. As your engineer shall give me the feel of service provided by DISH TV. Now it's more than 48 hours no one contacted me.
I am trying the above number since yesterday (28.02.07). either it shows busy or no one is picking up the phone? I got another number from net 1901 180 3474 but, faced the same response.

Are you guys suppose to reply or not? Today, I called your noide number (STD call for me). The customer care executive simply asked me to hold while he transfer the call to senior executive. Because, I asked him whose responsibility was to track the dealer and send a person to my place for installation. He transferred the call I waited for 3 Minutes no one picked the call.
Now, it's time. I should tell you that I am going to drag DISH TV in the consumer court. This mail shows I am trying to contact DISH TV desperately but, not getting any response from DISTV.

Fraud business services
Customer care is really hopeless. I got DishTV recently subscribed to MAXI package. After 20 days it blocked my MAXI channels even though I had paid for renewal in advance for 2 months. At Customer care number, none picks up. Visiting their local office provided no help to rectify the problem. The care should really be called Customer We Do not Care. I think it is a scam to sign people in and charge for the set top box and once customer is trapped, do not provide any service.
I would like to wanr people to be aware and do not get in their traps.
